Anything triggers the jannies these days, this new batch is really weak. It really does feel like a certain group of people is trying to shut the site down (call me crazy but having talked to a long-time employee of Pixar and seeing the way he acts, I really do think The Walt Disney Company has a hand in this shit, not just Good Smile- go on /co/ and there's public domain threads just about every day). Jannies appear to put up trap threads to mass ban certain people; there were a few Kenobi threads up which were bait to ban people via "racism". In one of these I brought up how anti-racism was being used on the Internet to divide and weaken a nation, to promote bad role models and violence in minorities (Song of the South is rayciss), and to promote global unification (something something Israel something Avi Arad and Marvel), and got a free vacation.

I rarely bother to post anymore, the site's going up in flames at this point. I just like messing with the people who still use it.

To be honest, if certain boards like /r9k/ modern day /b/ and /pol/ and /vp/ got nuked, it would probably just make the site more bearable. less autistic teens getting groomed by trannies in /r9k/ and glowies in /pol/.

Its mostly being used by BLACKEDposters and lolicon porn, but if you've ever entered a thread and wondered why it felt more schizo than usual, it's because you can't see the hidden coomer stuff. Also you run the risk of unknowingly spreading the embedded pictures by saving images and reposting them later.

They used to do this with PNGs with zip files appended to them, back in 2008-2010 days. You had to avoid threads with suspiciously large meme images, because a 100mb picture of Slowpoke was guaranteed to be warez or something worse.
