If the indications are true that more and more people are "unglugging", I'm not sure they'll have much of an impact. Those who will tune in will be diehard Dem's who want to watch the inquisition and diehard MAGA folks. I think that most others are too worried about how much they're now paying for everyday essentials. They're likely looking for an affordable and reasonable escape from the bullshit political theatrics. And Jan. 6th is peak bullshit political theatrics.
Agree. Outside of a very small die-hard left or right, I have the feeling that normal people just don't care anymore. And if they stumble onto these broadcasts they will just shrug and go "oh, are they still doing this? and then switch channel and move on".
I think it is a mistake of them to focus on this since it does not have any traction with normal people.

Heck, normal people are starting to stop caring about even Ukraine by now. They care about things like affording to fill up so they can go to work. They worry about being able to afford food. They don't worry about J6 anymore. That train has left the station.

This... has to be a game. A ruse to get conservatives to let their guard down in time for November. Dems don't just wave the white flag like this. Especially not this soon. Copium like this is just too rich to be true.

1. A lot of Democrats, especially those in safe blue districts, PREFER being in opposition because it means they get all of the perks of power but none of the trouble of having to actually DO work. They can promise the moon and then blame the GOP for keeping their crazy ass ideas from being made law.

2. The economy, while in free fall, hasn't hit full splatty tomato status yet. I'm sure there are a lot of Democrats who WANT to lose 2022 and 2024 purely so they can get out of dodge before everything goes tits up and we enter into an actual global depression/economic crash (and maybe even cause it to happen on their way out the door purely out of spite and malice) so they can then start blaming the GOP for causing the depression in the first place.

@Lards and Lasses has the right idea, the key to maximizing forum enjoyment is to normalize the ignore button.
I still follow him because I think his posts are interesting and he ignores me because I annoy him. Everybody wins. I personally find HHH entertaining but there's no reason to allow his posts to clutter your feed if they're a chore to read.
HHH and his detractors are very repetitive and boring after a while.
Their problem is that they don't understand that we are here to laugh at lolcows. Sometimes biden is a lolcow and we laugh at him.
We are not here to play team sport or "defend the honor of our favorite person that is definitely not a lolcow".
These people takes it as a personal insult when we laugh at their side and completely misunderstand everything about kiwifarms.

It's literally HHH entering a featured thread, derailing it for 5 pages, then screaming A&H is evil to Null. That's the whole problem.

That's what it seems like, I took today to go around some different parts of the forums and I saw a lot of A&N regulars posting and participating in threads. I was reading the thread Null created about A&N and a lot of the posts were more autistic than anything I have seen here. From giving posters here an X on their profiles, to outright banning us for the audacity of participating in a section of the forums. You had a lot of people saying make HHH a mod because it somehow makes us sperg, when in reality HHH is the sperg that comes in once in a blue moon, derails a thread for several pages and then leaves to cry to Null or other mods. I just don't get why get so ass blasted people are using a section of a forum that you created.

The crazy part is that a while back Null actually offered to make HHH a thunderdome mod (supposedly due to popular demand), but for some reason he turned it down.

if it is a ruse, I hope righties don't fall for it. I think they got way too cocky in 2020, figuring Trump had it in the bag-the idea that Democrats would rig the game had seemingly never occurred to them.

The Democrats were so completely unhinged in 2020 that I already knew they'd go all-out in every form of attempted fraud they could imagine. What actually did surprise me back then was just how many Republicans helped them out with the coverup effort, all the way up to Brutus Pence himself.

Dan Pfeifer is a jealous little faggot who is pissy that no one listens to or cares about his shitty podcast, that their HBO deal got such bad ratings that it didn't get renewed, and that Biden wouldn't give him and his douchebro friends at the podcast their cushy White House jobs back when he took over. Hell, I would not be shocked if he is also butt-hurt that Obama most likely cut him from the guest list when his "rules for thee but not for me" birthday bash got leaked to the public.

I think that Bush and Trump won the popular vote in all four elections. The Dems just run up the totals in California, Washington, and Oregon because their polls close after everyone else’s. They then use that to argue for the repeal of the electoral college, so that they can easily rig the presidential election.

More about the caravan. Is Kamala going to address this clusterfuck in any way, since she's the "border czar" or something?
Kamala is such a bad czar, she makes Nicholas II look like Peter the Great.

States really should keep their tallies secret until all of the states are done then reveal at once. Won't happen both because some want to ability to run the numbers up and the media will lose a solid 12 hours of vacant stares.

Where do these loons get this crazy argument from?

I noticed all the left wing kook outlets started parroting this exact goofy story at the same time.

The idea that the AR15's round was "designed to tumble" is a myth, based on early attempts to make a small bullet replicate the power of .308 and 30.06

Early guns had slow twist rates, something like 1:16, but all modern rifles use 1:7 and 1:9

In Blue Utopias, that's not even necessary. They've perfected the art of indoctrinating their cultists to the point that they can blame evil underminer Republicans for every single bad thing that happens in their cities. I'm not even kidding. You can have a city with a D mayor, D police chief, D DA, a city council so blue it contains actual proud socialists. Every time you hear about drug problems or a housing crisis you'll get a conga line of armchair political analysts around the block eager to tell you the reason your city is a garbage dump with sky high taxes that never improves anything is because the horned Republicans are stopping the angelic Democrats from waving their government wand and putting the kingdom to rights again.

It is not a ruse, but it is -hardcore- cope and likely what the media is going to push and what will become the defacto line to any group not dragged into the dem civil war,

Here are the points:

  1. Republicans in power will be absolutely insane, trying to pass laws to curtail voting to anyone and everyone.
  2. Democrats can brand themselves as defenders against the sudden tyranny of the Republicans.
  3. Heavy reliance on Biden coming out and making very well approved, statesmanlike speeches.
  4. ABANDON THE PROGS! DEAR GOD ABANDON THE PROGS! (Matt Bai is a member of the Establishment faction, BTW)
  5. Kinda,,, implies that Republicans are going to pass racist/intolerant laws? Which... well, I don't get. I think I know what this guy expects and it is wishful thinking.
  6. Also acknowledges heavily Biden has no real chance of winning in between the bouts of cope. Says he really shouldn't run -and that he isn't expecting Biden too-, as well as claims that whoever gets the nomination will be and -has- to be "outside Washington".

So yah, this is -cope-. Mainly seems to be hoping an Obama type easily controlled by his faction appears.

Alas, as I sit here with rustled jimmies, I find this:

And keep in mind this is with the most loaded, leading, asinine questions ever. One of the ones I saw was quite literally "Do you think Trump, who encouraged rioting at the capital when he lost the election, is responsible for the attack on the capital?"

Yes, that is verbatim.

We are in for either insufferable cringe or a bumper crop of lulz.

You fucking what mate?
Hold on. A member of the cabinet isn't considered a close contact of the president? Literally one of his closest advisors (officially, at least) isn't a close contact? Does Biden even have cabinet meetings any more?
Oh its so much worse than that! A member of his cabinet, during an unprecedented shortage caused in heavy part by a transportation blockage. Buttigieg should be giving him -weekly- updates.

Yeah, but the “Fortifiers” would still find a way to get those numbers before the public to “Fortify our Democracy”

Sometimes I think you have to be at least a standard deviation below the IQ mean to become a political cartoonist. Or so fart-huffing as to think your entire audience is.
The balloon inflates into a bomb with a lit fuse. Yellen mentions being wrong about inflation. The balloon stands for inflation. Because it's a balloon. Which usually inflate.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO LABEL THE BALLOON.

The target audience generally is really that stupid. A lot of people out there legitimately can't even draw the connection between why printing money doesn't make everyone rich, much less understand more complex ideas. The cartoonists are regularly down at that level though - how else would they know what needs labels? Midwits all around.
