For some reason Phil can't understand (or refuses to understand) you need to be entertaining to hold an audiences attention. Chat dies because they aren't engaged in the content. This isn't rocket science but Phil doesn't seem to get it.

As far as Phil is concerned, he's not there to entertain the audience. He thinks the audience has to entertain him, all the while paying him for the privilege.

What's up with these situations that he brings up from time to time. "300 viewers and no one commenting" Are there like 250~ bots in there with the rest not typing in chat unless DSP commands them or are there no bots but everyone has his stream in the background while they eat, sleep , play games etc?

I know it never gets easier to comprehend, despite years of examples, but Phil genuinely thinks highly enough of himself to either never consider this or dismiss the thought outright. It's impossible to put yourself in the headspace of someone with as little self-awareness as Phil because Phil's brain is that radically different, all jokes aside. Whether it built up over years of isolation and self-delusion, is an untreated personality disorder, or he's just fucking stupid, is beyond me. Maybe Steve of the Dead will eventually figure it out.

And as we all know, the best means of keeping yourself cool in the summer is to sit in front of an air conditioner. I'd like to ask you all to not go outside, play in your swimming pools, head out to the beach, a lake, or any other activity you'd take to avoid the summer sun.
There is no reason to do any of these things, your AC unit is enough. Especially if you're running two of them to keep the same room cold. Thank you.

Anybody that thinks Phil is mentally sound in any capacity these days is a self-confessing denthead. I'm glad he voluntarily removes himself from society because I think he should be removed from society with how unbelievably out of touch with reality he is now. Terry Davis had a better grasp of reality than pigroach does now.
Men in their 40s don't dress and present themselves the way he does to a public audience, unless there is something undeniably wrong with them. I'm less than a year away from my 30s, personally, and I wouldn't wear the sort of shit he does on stream unless I was planning on dressing up as a faggot shut-in for a Halloween party.

Because he wants to be "special", he doesn't want to follow what's popular because that's immature and stupid and real adults just do the same thing expecting shit to change.

His problem is that he doesn't change anything until he feels like he has no other choice, remembers this one fad from a while back and thinks that he can cash in on it. By his own admission, he's out of touch with what's trending since he rarely pays any attention to other creators, even when he used to have acquaintances.

I doubt he'll ever be able to completely give up games entirely. He needs games to keep hoping for a chance to hook new whales.
