I gave up with this movie after I saw the cringe robot cat BB 8 thing comic relief in the first trailer.
hey dumbass the coughing and saying something you don't want people to hear trick doesn't work in a tweet. It only works when you're actually speaking.
Lasseter got cancelled about four years ago, so I doubt Disney gives much of a fuck about what he thinks anymore. I'd guess either there's some kind of legal issue at play, or they've been holding it back to coincide with the release of this new movie.Do you think they'll put the series out on Disney Plus now that this is in theaters? Or will John Lasseter's supposed hatred for the show continue to influence the company's treatment?
They just want to forget about the series since they "borrowed" so much from Star Wars itself not to mention that it actually had decent plot lines, characters you actually cared about not to mention the lore it created with all the different aliens planets and species.Lasseter got cancelled about four years ago, so I doubt Disney gives much of a fuck about what he thinks anymore. Ah, so making a shitty G.I. Joe and Jem and Holograms movie wasn't enough, I see. He crapped on the 80's kids' childhoods, now it's the 90's kids turn.
Sad, but I knew this would happen.Ah, so making a shitty G.I. Joe and Jem and Holograms movie wasn't enough, I see. He crapped on the 80's kids' childhoods, now it's the 90's kids turn.
Does he have a thread?Oh God, Ray Jones. He's a longtime Gadget freak who's got a sounding fetish and forced his homely wife to dress up like her.
I wonder how he and that Russian cult feel about Gadget's fate.
Can’t never beat the original.I gave up with this movie after I saw the cringe robot cat BB 8 thing comic relief in the first trailer.
This is the real Buzz Lightyear movie and always will be!
I mean, I still have a soft spot for the Star Wars OT, but that doesn't mean I want to see any of the above named stuff in a Toy Story spinoff.
Actually, that reminds me...what the hell happened to the live-action Hunchback remake they were working on?Ah, so making a shitty G.I. Joe and Jem and Holograms movie wasn't enough, I see. He crapped on the 80's kids' childhoods, now it's the 90's kids turn.
Speaking of which:Ah, so making a shitty G.I. Joe and Jem and Holograms movie wasn't enough, I see. He crapped on the 80's kids' childhoods, now it's the 90's kids turn.
Tia....honey.....no. Please don't.When speaking about the potential remake, Carrere, who memorably appeared in Wayne’s World and True Lies, also spoke about perhaps having a cameo in the live-action version.
Especially when Disney has already demonstrated it isn't even able to responsibly handle Star Wars itself.I mean, I still have a soft spot for the Star Wars OT, but that doesn't mean I want to see any of the above named stuff in a Toy Story spinoff.
The great thing about the original film was that it didn't deal in Hawaiian cliches. Anyone else would have put steel guitars over the film. Instead they decided to set the film to Elvis. (And they never used "Blue Hawaii".)Speaking of which:

TL;DR: The soundtrack "needs" more Hawaiian artists. That's it. Tia, 2 things.
1. Those "paltry" 2 Hawaiian songs are among the most beloved in the Disney canon. I dunno about you, but I'd consider that a win.
2. You know those non-Hawaiian artists were most likely chosen because of marketing reasons, right? Sorry, but that's how it is when you're dealing with the Rat.

It's sad to see so many legacies tossed aside, to make way for what? The sweet manna of better performing quarterly financial reports?
Final televised appearance of Walt before his death in 66. He's like an old grandpa talking to his grandkids by the fireplace. Hard to believe he had only one functioning lung left and was almost out of sand in his hourglass when this was filmed. There's also something almost prophetic about his final words being "You're not only going to laugh a lot but shed a few happy tears. I'm sorry I can't be with you personally." He was half right tears would be shed...but not in happiness.
I'm kinda glad he's not around to see what's been done with his life's work.

They were super incredibly respectful about portraying the island accurately (and also getting Silvestri to do the orchestrated music helped a lot too). Hell, when it came to the dance school they recorded actual hula dance sessions and Chris Sanders let it be known that at no point where they do draw fake hula, they had to do it right and recreate the imagery they recorded. It's also how they came up with 'ohana as the central theme of the movie as well. The great thing about the original film was that it didn't deal in Hawaiian cliches. Anyone else would have put steel guitars over the film. Instead they decided to set the film to Elvis. (And they never used "Blue Hawaii".)
