There's a terrible irony about trying to prove that you're absolutely, totally not gay by joining an organization that keeps you in very close, borderline intimate contact with a ton of other horny young men. It's a tale as old as time.
They even made a song about it
Much like sailors, the trachers have scurvy from the lack of Vitamin C in their diets.

Again, I can’t help but wonder how many of his followers actually find him attractive. My God, he is ugly.

Edit: LOL

Imagine grabbing a “handful” of Kevin’s receding dry, yet greasy hair.
I have conducted many thought experiments on myself.

I do believe the Jorden Peterson line that humans are capable of horrific things and that we would do them if given the chance, and that we need to confront that part of our mind to become stronger mentally.

I have taken my mind to dark places, I have thought what if I was a Nazi in ww2, what if I was a killer, what if I harmed animals or children.

However, I honest to god, cannot take my mind to a place where I would consider Kevin "attractive" or put my self in a situation that I had to touch him.... that fucks me up and I have to block it out of my mind.

Congratulations Kevin.

A lot of men go into the military because they're insecure or have no other prospects in life. Either way, these are prime targets for the gendercult once they leave the heavily regimented military environment and have to live without all the rules and schedules they once followed. Any PTSD they might have developed during service is just icing on the cake.
others have said it well but it should be said here in this thread- if you've been in one cult, or you've been brainwashed once (to include military service and restrictive religions), you are more vulnerable to cult tactics after that, pretty much for the rest of your life.

the pathways in your mind that allow cult tactics to enter have been opened and there's no closing that gate.
it's not that military service or religions are bad, it's just that they encourage obedience without question, and they make that a part of the way your subconscious reacts to things.

so a lot of ex-military, or kids raised in restrictive religious groups, will end up in weird cults. will end up in some other kind of groupthink. it's not surprising to see troons that have been military or raised religious. they were trained not to question conflicting beliefs but to accept them and keep going

you're doing that experiment wrong. you're just imagining shit you're not horrified by, but blocking out things you are. quit daydreaming about murder and scare yourself by imagining your own amhole getting torn up.

What about people who break away from restrictive religious beliefs or are raised in cults?

For instance, how many Amish who don’t return after their period of living outside the Amish, later decide to move back?

I am not saying I don’t believe you, I just have not heard this claimed before.

There is some logic in it.

Post-transition Kev is impossible to find attractive. Sometimes I wish he would hide behind a furry avatar so I didn’t have to be reminded of his ugly mug every time he tweets.

I sort of want to do a survey where I walk up to people on the street who have no idea who this person is, ask them to rate him on a scale of one to ten, guess his gender, and guess his age. I would pick the most flattering picture of Kevin too, to give Kevin the benefit of the doubt. The results sure would be interesting! :sighduck:
(No, I’m not going to do this. It’s simply an idea.)

pretty much the same. there was a lot of research on this in the 70s and 80s, when "deprogramming" was a thing.
the pattern of thought is taught, trained. taking things on faith without question becomes a part of their personality, and they can try to repress that but can end up in cults that are "opposite" what they escaped from.

think about it like replacing one addiction with another- even if they join AA, the addictive behavior remains, they are now addicted to the group. or coffee, at least.
it's a pattern of behavior and a mind-rot, just choosing a new group doesn't change the fact that they react as cult members.

Absolutely. Once the brain becomes open to a certain way of thinking, it will be more accepting of similar ideas later. People who earnestly believe one piece of disinformation, for example, are more susceptible to believing other, more radical pieces of disinformation when presented with them. Add that on top of being primed to take orders and information without questioning it, and it's a nasty cycle. It's how people get radicalized into more and more niche beliefs online (regardless of political stance), and why it's so difficult to bring them back to earth.

When such people leave their echo chambers and are faced with criticism, then, they get a lot more defensive than your average bloke would. They start to truly believe that everyone who disagrees with them is either unenlightened or actively hostile.

I was reading a paper on this recently and tbh, maybe I read this thread too much, but I immediately thought "hey, I know a social contagion that sounds like that!"

Wonderfully explains the infamous 4chan incel to troon pipeline.

Counterpoint: Maybe people with poor critical thinking skills and a weak sense of self get sucked into cults and cult-like ways of thinking because they like structure and aren't cynical enough to realize that Shunka in Mt. Shasta might not be the most reliable individual.

JP has a lot of guidance Kev could use to grow as a person. In addition to integrating the Jungian shadow self by confronting the dark sides every person has within, he needs to willingly confront his fears and anxieties to overcome them. Doing so will allow him to grow stronger.

Another, one i really took to heart and improved my life drastically, is assuming as much responsibility as one can bear. Responsibility is what JP says creates a meaningful life.

Most of all, perhaps, he needs to clean his damn room and wash his pe- oh…

Powerlevel but the rural gays I know are all Martha Fucking Stewart.
There was a gay dude in the South on My 600 Pound Life and his apartment was immaculate, with a bright, colorful design scheme. And he was able to maintain that despite being 600 pounds and basically dying.
This could be a game, make a sock twitter and see who can get the most ridiculous pseudoscience retweeted
Oof, it's gonna be tough to top the ridiculousness of "mouthfeel", here goes:

"Transwomen's prostates naturally turn into cervixes due to the effects of HRT"
"Lucid dreaming can help your transition"
"There's no such thing as a cervix, it's just part of the vagina which we all know is just a flesh tunnel to nowhere, so actually transwomen don't need to have a cervix since ciswomen don't have them either"
"change your astrology sign to something more feminine to help you pass, for example I now identify as a Scorpio"
"Women have naturally longer, more colorful fingernails than men, so our gender-affirming acrylics are medically necessary"
What would a Civil Rights sista really make of the fetishized version of slavery Kev has going on with Penny?
You know all these trans rights losers are BLM in streets, raceplay-is-a-okay in the sheets.
JP has a lot of guidance Kev could use to grow as a person.
Kev should read Jordon Peterson's Kiwi Farms thread.

The funny thing about the whole chest-feeding thing is that it’s clearly not being driven by TIMs. Nobody gives a shit about “trans-guys” and they’re usually better examples of everything bad about female socialisation than cis-women. It’s entirely because TIMs can’t stand women being mentioned in anyway that doesn’t include them. Men and non-men. Unless the non-men are actually men, in which case, the most women of women.
