It's like how they think they can just throw the National Guard at any problem and make it go away. They see the military as their obedient lackeys, and can frame it as "muh national emergency!"

India did some shit very much like this. Modi declared the two largest denomination notes to be officially worthless and then gave everyone something like a few weeks to exchange theirs for new bills, all so they could track wealth and payments more effectively. Anti corruption but pro tyranny. Or maybe a better way to think of it is as a consolidation of corruption.

Plain and simple.

Here's what's happening in Kansas.

There was very little rain or snow this year, so water levels are low. That means rivers, ponds, and creeks, which cattle usually hang around during the summer, are at very low levels or completely dry. The rain that did happen was late in the spring and into June.

Cattle do not sweat very well and usually get rid of heat through respiration.

NOW...

A high heat wave and high humidity period just hit central Kansas, with weather warnings and advisories.

The cattle are NOT free range that are dying. They're the ones at feedlots.

Kansas loses thousands of cattle each year to this dumbass mass profit feedlot bullshit.

You combine the fact its high humidity, that feedlots don't give a shit about watering their cattle that well, and high heat.

You get dead cows.

The guy talking in the tweet is a fucking liar about talking to people.

Everyone I know here in the Midwest saw what happened in Kansas and went "Yup, heat wave, bro".

It's these shitty feedlots, a drought, and a heat wave with high humidity.

Cattle are VERY sensitive to heat stress.

But hey, Chinese feedlots combined with that is a recipe for disaster.

It takes a few months to get the final numbers. I think we get the advance Q2 numbers at the end of July. You can find unofficial forecasts like this one ("Recession to be Averted"), but those are just wild economic guesses.

Assuming they can solve the Hyde Amendment problem -- use nonappropriated funds? require prepayment? I don't know -- security is still an issue. The person desiring a fetus yeeting would have to be invited on base, maybe escorted from the moment they enter until they leave. They'll also need visitor's badges. I recommend turning the standard V badge upside down so it looks like a big red A, for Abortion.

Bigger issue - will military doctors/nurses/techs be needed to do the procedures? Can see that for military and military dependents, but the military medical system isn't resourced to provide these services to the general public. Maybe contract doctors/staff, but resources would be needed to pay for and provide for these people.
