Plenty of childcare jobs can be very profitable/comfy depending on your qualifications. It's not all cleaning up diapers or preschool teaching.
Summer camps for example, if you have a niche skill like riflery or fencing, kitchen management experience can be extremely comfy. Especially if you don't have other options or are from another country. A Mexican guy making 10k in 4 months? Average yearly income? 16k. That's far from shit paying drudgery. Not a career by far, but when your other options are farm work, getting the boot at 27 would be a nightmare.
