It isn't for the most part. The ghetto culture most rap tries to emulate is objectively awful and inferior to other cultures. It's why hoods and so many cities are falling apart. Black people, inherently, aren't the problem, it's that "black culture" is a destructive cancer, and modern rap's a prime example of that.

But that hasn't been what rap is about since, what, the 90s maybe? Modern rappers are judas goats leading other blacks into a wasted life so some rich white dude can profit.

If the black community as a whole had any sense they would completely disavow rap culture.

From what I understand it started as something more introspective, ABOUT life in the hood, not necessarily saying it's a good thing or saying those involved are above any criticism.

Then it evolved into the 2000s incarnation where it was purely about "I want money, phat bitches and even mo money", it was purely disposable entertainment that ran off of the understandable lizard brain appeal of babes with big booty, fast cars, guns, money, power etc.

Then Woke happened and even ghetto culture is better when it's not Woke, truly Woke ghetto culture is one of the worst fucking things in human history, it's pure poison to civilization and either civilization will have to destroy it or it will destroy civilization, can't have it both ways.

Because now for one thing in the past the ghetto was the ghetto, if you stayed away from the ghetto you were ok, now it's spreading like a virus, now the thugs will eventually be kicking in your door and demanding "gibs me dat".

Now the Woke ghetto mindset absolves the hoodrats of any and all guilt and responsibility, an old school gangsta wouldn't necessarily try to morally justify his actions 100% and just might cut you some slack, now the new generation will cut off your head, rape your daughter to death and then piss on your corpse and feel 100% justified in doing it because "muh slavery" and shit.

Now they've become pure, inhuman monsters that really are closer to an animal than a human being and I don't mean that in a racist way.

Because I've given this a LOT of thought and I've come to the conclusion that it comes down to this, a black man can know right from wrong same as any other man, but a boy needs a father or father figure to teach them that, a boy needs a man to teach him how to be a man, but too many black men have failed that duty and now we have black "men" who are mentally a toddler essentially, but a really vicious one with a gun.

Only the black community themselves can fix this issue, the white man can't do it for you, the government and the schoolhouse can't do it, a boy needs face to face interaction with a man who has that intimate father figure bond, it's not something a school teacher can do or some type of employee or government worker, it's not something you can manufacture machine like, it takes humanity and it takes heart.

Now there can be exceptions to that, but it's just that, exceptions, far too many without a father figure in their life fucks them up and makes them a monster, that is the root core of the issue, gangsta rap is just a symptom of that and not even the biggest problem, the recent Woke sense of entitlement made everything go from bad to so much worse.

More studies should be done, but honestly I think it's safe to say that gangsta rap has done a lot of damage to the black community.
