I read somewhere on here that he also lives in NYC. And if hes only working a customer service job then he must either still live with his parents or a bunch of roommates (or a shelter). I'm not a fighting game pro by any means but I have a good three thousand hours between all the mortal kombat games. I've noticed that any time Phil plays a fighting game he has combos that are less impressive than any even a layman like I could do. His usual combos are just jab jab jab extra move and then occasionally a booster/super move of some kind if he has the meter, which he never conserves.

Pros are not just learning the technical elements to an absolute T but also understand frame data. Phil's only understanding of these things seems to be surface level simply so he can
1. Demonstrate he knows it
2. Use it as an excuse most people can't debunk
He seems to have almost no knowledge besides what he has gathered to use as an excuse. Any actual technical knowledge he has, footsies, frame data, etc. all seems to serve only those purposes. You're not going to see Phil pull off a frame perfect combo. In fact he does not even attempt combos with frame windows. He has just enough basic knowledge to know when he should and shouldn't attack and that's about it for Phil's fighting game knowledge.

Insane to think he refers to himself as a professional fighting game player.

EDIT: It's 20 minutes past Phil's designated starting time for his night stream. I just wanted to add this comment that he always shows up 20 to 30 minutes late for the night stream. We've gotten so used to it that we barely notice but it's insane he just shows up 20 to 30 minutes late without caring at all or even commenting about it anymore. It's just expected.

I've always found it funny how much Phil loves 2ST, a game where a "combo" is 2 or 3 hits that do 50% life. Hell situations where a single throw can decide the match because of stun. This is what he likes.

As soon as he plays a game like Marvel, DBZF, or KOF, really any team based game, where the name of the game is doing extremely long stylish combos he starts bitching. In Marvel his go to combos are " A, B, C, Launcher, jump.A , Jump.B, Jump.C Super". Something I taught a friend who had never played fighting games before and they were able to learn it in 10 minutes.
Winning of off 1 throw is good in his eyes, but losing 70% of one of his three characters HP to a single long combo is "playschool fighter" somehow. It's just more of Phil's desire to get as much profit off of as little work as possible.

In Marvel his go to combos are " A, B, C, Launcher, jump.A , Jump.B, Jump.C Super". Something I taught a friend who had never played fighting games before and they were able to learn it in 10 minutes.
Winning of off 1 throw is good in his eyes, but losing 70% of one of his three characters HP to a single long combo is "playschool fighter" somehow. It's just more of Phil's desire to get as much profit off of as little work as possible.

I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of hyper fighters either. I'd rather have games where matches end in 3-4 hits, rather than put the controller down because I got touched. But I prefer that because I like the mind-game aspect of fighters. The careful positioning, baiting out attacks, that kinda shit. I don't like having to input more complicated commands than I do to get into my fucking safe just to actually play a game.

What cracks me up about Phil is so many of his problems go away with the slightest bit of humility, or even basic ass honesty.

"Nah, these games just aren't for me." Boom, entire problem goes away.

Although Phil has become permanently boring AF, the smallest variations in the pig’s routine do provide for some good entertainment. Here are few things I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that have provided decent entertainment value:

1. Low quality “reaction”-type content — watching Phil attempt to transition into a part-time reaction content creator has been pretty fucking amusing. Not because of the content that he actually produces but because of how fucking bad he is at it. Game streaming is technically a variation of react content already where you’re anticipating the streamer to get pissed at the game or have some exciting emotions displayed to engage the audience and Phil is arguably already terrible at his main job because of his refusal to play games that would give a rise out of him and his inability to relate to his audience due to his social ineptness and autism. Seriously, transitioning to reacting to videos if you’re a game streamer should also be natural since it’s two sides of the same coin but this awful react content that Phil put out has only demonstrated how inherently bad he is at streaming in the first place.

2. Inconsistent tips acquisition — the Fag Streak has permanently fucked with Phil’s head. For almost an entire year, he was making over $200/ day in pure cash and the unhinged behavior of a handful of losers made him believe that it’s completely possible for him to wrangle upwards of $300/ day in perpetuity, in the context of an ever-declining audience and an atrophied YT subscriber count that’s being propped up by troll accounts. With an incoming recession, the litmus test for the pig will be to see if his “business model” of preying on retards is full-proof… which I honestly believe it is but not to the extent that he’s expecting. Moreover, low tips and below average expectations making a certain amount of money per day bring out complete addict behavior waiting for his fix: bouts of grumpiness; irritability; lethargic behavior; inability to enjoy current activity; difficulty staying in the present. Every single one of Phil’s characteristics when he’s making no money are amplified by a thousand and we’re seeing someone in withdrawals because of their anticipation to not be able to splurge on their addiction.

3. Detractor sperging — the ugly question of “Is Phil actually 1MM?!” reared its ugly fucking head and this shit is embarrassing because it paints the overall detractor community as complete turbo-autists who end up making cringe ass YT videos about absolutely nonsensical stuff. It’s also validation for Phil to claim that all we day is nonsense because, unfortunately, some shit that is claimed without evidence is nonsensical. It’s already hard enough to put a separation between us and the Reddit/ YT faggots and the overlap always ends up hurting us anyways. Also, people need to stop being mad at the pig making money right before his day off. @Piece of Peace demonstrated that historically, a quality beg segment is launched immediately on the day preceding his day off and it always fucking works. Dents will be dents, nothing new here.

Phil is so fucking boring now TBH. His hermit lifestyle and complete enclosure of his virtual hugbox that he implemented years ago is starting to finally pay dividends. It’s the long game now really as his mental health gradually suffers from talking to the same person for the rest of his life and we’ll get some good dust out of that. Otherwise, this dude is a traumatized little pussy whose ego cannot handle being made fun of/ criticized/ insulted.

Phail actually likes Mahvel games, or at least he does MvC 2. It used to be his main game before the 4th place at EVO which made him rebrand into a robust old school-style Street Fighter player. The only reason he doesn't like new combo heavy games and calls them dumb games for the kiddies that like flashing lights is because he can't be fucked to learn them so he gets destroyed on week 2 when all the Derichs stop playing the game.

There's nothing wrong with liking games that have simple combos and high base damage like SamSho. Super Turbo's problem is that it has all sorts of other dumb shit like random stun, random damage and it's unbalanced as all hell.
