Dude it was even funnier, first of all he ranted about FF7R not being a remake because they changed too much. Then in the same video he ranted about Demon's Souls Remake not being a remake because they changed too little. There's literally no pleasing the pig.

I hope phil doesn't seriously think he's only at the halfway point in his life. I would guess his midlife was already sometime back in his 20s. He looks like complete shit, I highly doubt he even makes it to 60.

It could go either way. He could croak from a heart attack tomorrow or 10 years from now at most... or he could be like one of those grandpas who somehow manage to shamble their way to living until their mid 80s, looking like an unearthed mummy for the last 20 years of their life. All of this despite decades of abusing their body with hard liquor, cigarettes and working hard menial labor. Though in Phil's case you'd replace the latter two with fast food and exercising his body as much as the average coma patient does.

While Phil is obviously a gross and boring streamer, one of the worst things he does is the constant narration of every single text box. Not that it's really narration, just him saying what is on the screen because that is 'content' to Phil the same way his reacts are just him repeating whatever someone does. What a way to ruin a play-through of a narrative heavy game than to just have him drone on, a true testement of the dents who thinks what he puts out is good.

Remember when he called reading out text in a game "voice acting" and thought that he'd actually be a good voice actor because of that?

'Assist' was probably a poor choice. I mean pressing the SELECT button: it highlights the entrance/exit points on the screen that you're on with red arrows. It's always been there.

I've never watched any of his other non-voice acted game playthroughs; is he actually going to voice act the entire game?

You have to remember that DSP is extremely lazy. He will come up with some lame excuse like his voice is tired, which he used within the past month.

The assist mode in FF7 Remastered (NOT Remake) has three things you can toggle.

The first is game speed - you can speed up the game by 3x to make battles and gameplay 3x faster.

The second is literally an invincibility mode - it provides an infinite amount of HP, MP, and limit breaks.

The third is the ability to toggle random encounters on and off.

I find this a conundrum for Phil though. Sure he'll want to use the invincibility shit to facetank through shit like he always does, but I wonder if he'll at least pretend like he doesn't want to use it so he can milk the game for donations.

Edited to clarify the Remastered version with updated visuals that came out for all consoles and PC, NOT Remake.

It's the face tank strat all over again. Also, it's hilarious watching him read the text box in Rauru that says that there is a spell in each town, and completely forget to look in Saria for the spell.

I love Zelda 2 and all I could do was laugh at the retard who went into Palace 1 without the shield spell, and now has the choice of going into the palace, or figuring out where Bagu is and trying his luck at Death Mountain.

Death Mountain will chap his ass, because the gator monsters there have axes, which he the shield cannot deflect. He's already went salty about the hitboxes, I am awaiting with glee the salt when the gator people come by.

Given his performance tonight, I'm not sure if he's going to be able to finish this one even with the savestates. Assuming he doesn't watch a video and 'discover' the proper way to cheese the Darknut fights, the red and blue ones are gonna absolutely destroy him. We're also going to have a ton more situations where he just stops dead in his tracks and demands chat tell him exactly what to do. It's gonna be a shitshow.

Probably out of boredom, I’m swimming in DSPs expenses and they honestly depress me.

Leaving aside the sheer greed and wastefulness, compared to my own expenses (that I keep on top of) there are 3 glaring omissions; Presents for people, social costs (drinks in bars, going to a game of any kind, any kind of social function, etc) and any kind of holiday or travel expenses.
Absolutely depressing.

Yeah the guy was a retard, but my point is, the only ones willing to directly fuck with Phil end up being retards, because for a long time we've discouraged direct trolling, so anybody competent just sits back and observes.

The truth honestly isn't so much that DSP is boring, it's that we are.

My grandpa listened to me once complain that the group of friends I had was crap. I liked having fun with them but they eventually would get up to some retarded business and I would bail. Don't get me wrong, I like to kick up shit as much as anyone but the things they did made no sense.

He told me, "Son, you got yourself a pet cat and you're convinced you're happy with it but here you sit complaining about how awful a dog it is. Either appreciate the cat as a cat or admit you wanted a dog and stop pretending. Because that cat will always be a shit dog."

There's a lot of folks on the farms nowadays that seem to think this cat is a dog. We're not boring because we don't troll, that's never what this place was made for or populated with. Historically we root out and ridicule people who insist on handling the feces. The people who come here wanting to treat the cat like a dog are precisely the people that @Null has been trying to keep out, locking the forums over, and complaining about. People who come here and do not uptake the culture and try to dictate to the users what we should be doing.

If you want a dog, find a gay op discord server where people spam shit like big ups liquid DSP and big pimp while they circlejerk in small private hidden channels. The best thing you can do if you like this place is find another established cow thread, and just browse it looking at how people posted over the years.

And per your remark about the lack of gay ops being lame but us celebrating shitty streamers and content creators, we're not. There are no decent DSP content creators anymore. They either all left, forgot why editing him down to sub 20 minutes made him funny, or went the absolute latest route of doing what DSP does and turning on the stream and sitting in front of a camera rambling and waiting for money. You know who likes those guys? The seething wings trolls types, the redditors and casual cow enthusiasts. If you care and follow along they never know their shit and it just wastes more time than watching raw somehow.
