Ok, since I got great feedback from the last FATAL thread. I'm going to run a second game.
What is FATAL? You ask. FATAL is the worst RPG ever made. It's set in a Dungeons and Dragons like world, but with rules so absurdly complicated that a previous attempt to play it live organized by several Kiwis failed. My thread managed to succeed only because it was play-by-post, so I got a lot of time to calculate everyone's shit.
FATAL is a game that is full of rape, mutilation, instant and unpreventable character deaths, more rape, historical innacuracy, and a very real chance that you will be magically compelled to rape another member of the party. Also, the rules are terrible, and manage to be both unrealistic and unfair.
If you need more familiarization with why FATAL is so bad, read this review here. It's long as shit, but every part is hilarious. Also, read the rebuttal.
This time, I'm going to take as many players as sign up, but the campaign will be even more lethal than last time. I recommend loading up on combat skills, because the campaign will mostly be combat, dying due to other bullshit, and rape.
This time, registration will be open at least until Sunday, maybe later if people are having problems getting their characters set up.
As with last time, in combat, your moves are due every 24 hours, at 7 PM CST. I'll still evaluate any turns that get posted before I come in and start writing my post though. Sometime after that, I will roll the dice, etc and tell you guys what happened. Since we're adopting this game to PbP rules, there is no initiative. All player's orders are processed in the order they are posted. Enemies will usually move last, but in an ambush, etc they may get to move first. Out of combat, things will be much more fluid, people can post as often as the want, etc. If you miss a turn, you simply stand around like a dumb fuck in the middle of combat. If you're gone for several turns/days, then you're out of the game. No exceptions for vacation, etc. Sorry, but I can't also run people's characters for them, and in a way, this is more of a last man standing type challenge than a regular campaign.Note that it's quite possible for some people to be in combat and some out of it. Also please note that FATAL has an actual statistic for how much you can say in one turn of combat, and that rule will be enforced.
FATAL is in no way fair, and I won't be either. I'll be following the rules as they're written. Whenever they're ambiguous or contradictory, I'll simply go with whatever's funniest.
Everyone wishing to play needs to post a character sheet here for everyone to see and PM it to me.
You can find the rules here or here. Note that the latter link also contains a character generator. If you're using the character generator (highly recommended) please note that it's raw output is not enough for a character sheet. You also need to put in any items that you own, your skills, your bonuses to sub-ability scores, any minor variations in your body part sizes, and your Body Part Points in there manually.
Be sure to give the PDF a quick skim, you should at least have a basic idea about what's going on in combat. And if you're using any weapon except for your fists or a thrusting weapon, you need to lear all about fulcrum points.
I'm making the following rule changes to the character generation:
Oh yeah, one last miscellaneous rule: no coming back from the dead, no matter what. I don't want this game to drag on forever, and trust me, neither do you.
Also, if I do forget you and you posted on time, don't freak out, I just missed you (it's pretty easy to do.) Just point it out and I'll fix it. Same deal if I fuck up the rules.
This game will fucking kill me and I hate you all.
Golden Rule: Be funny and entertaining for yourself and others.

I'm making the following rule changes to the character generation:
- You can reroll as often as you want without taking physical or mental disabilities like the rules/character generator stipulate you have to
- All characters must be able to speak Sapien (the language of humans.) You may exchange one language that you know for Sapien for free, even if the rules say you can't. The situation last game were only about 1/3 of the party members could actually communicate was funny at first, but now I think it's kind of a tired joke.
- I'm going to actually apply all of the penalties for being a child, so if you roll up a toddler, you might want to reroll.
- Racial Hatred never applies to PC characters in any way. They do not hate others, and they are not hated. This way you can enter a town without everyone inside deciding to kill you. (FATAL has rules for racism.)
