Simple: it evolved. What ever happened to creepypasta
Fixed that for you.Simple: it devolved.
I ain't gonna even complain when you're absolutely right, thank you MoffAlbert.Fixed that for you.

IT GOT GAYWhat ever happened to creepypasta
Shhhh!! Don't say that! You don't know what'll happen, maybe Jeff the Killer will have some form of autistic fandom resurgence like Sonic.EXE on Twitter and it'll get WORSE than before. It died, more or less. It needed to die though. People were unironically thirsty for fucking Jeff the Killer.
It’s already kinda came back with girls simping over that guy who killed a mom and her childShhhh!! Don't say that! You don't know what'll happen, maybe Jeff the Killer will have some form of autistic fandom resurgence like Sonic.EXE on Twitter and it'll get WORSE than before.
This. Think of a creepypasta and if it has a whole body of lore in TV Tropes, then it got gay.IT GOT GAY
5000 being about mystery means not giving an explanation is a bit of a given, but it's sad it even has to be a theme lol. Speaking of which I don't know if this is actually what the admins do or if it's sheer coincidence but why the fuck would you give the x000 rejects a slot in the series anyway? It makes the entire series dull and predictable. Series VII is almost entirely faggy "MAN BAD NATURE GOOD!!!" entries and it's so fucking repetitive, once you read one of them you read them all (this is a story- I mean SCP about an evil corporation who destroyed the environment, here's anotherI think it's a great SCP precisely because it's unexplained. Most newer entries fall into one of the following:
5000 doesn't do that. It's just pages upon pages of grotesque and bizarre details tied together by a single entity/phenomenon that's implied to be worse than all of the above, regardless of your interpretation.
- Detailing the object's behaviour and leaving nothing to the imagination
- Having a preachy 'moral of the story'
- Not actually making it scary
To my knowledge, the author has not explained it and refuses to confirm any explanations. He seems to understand (unlike so many others) that no answer you provide can possibly be worse than what people will imagine. It is, without a doubt, the rightful winner of the Mystery contest.
Call me an oldfag but stuff like this makes me appreciate the original series a lot more, because what would you rather play a game about? A creepy staircase that seems to go down forever or whatever the fuck Series VII has to offer?5000 being about mystery means not giving an explanation is a bit of a given, but it's sad it even has to be a theme lol. I'm going for the creepy staircase.Call me an oldfag but stuff like this makes me appreciate the original series a lot more, because what would you rather play a game about? A creepy staircase that seems to go down forever or whatever the fuck Series VII has to offer?
One of the first sections on the wiki's licensing guide is for game devs where it essentially gives everyone free rein to make games about SCP as long as they include a copyright statement and if the game costs money it must be DRM free. So copyright infringement would be a really strange reason to change the names, unless I missed something importantSo, given it hasn't been mentioned here I think this is worthy to post. Apparently some devs tried to make a SCP game called ANNO: Mutationem but for some reasons (probably copyright) they changed the names to avoid issues, the weirdness is twofold:
1. The changes are all surface level with them literally only changing the names so it is still a very blatant SCP-copy. (The Foundation is named the Consortium, 682 becomes Varanus, Doctor Gears becomes G, Doctor Clef becomes C, Bright is B, Kondraki is K, SCP-076 is renamed Absalom, SCP-239 is renamed Sigrid....... yeah as you can see barely any changes in the doctors names), with their abilities personalities and physical appearances unchanged from the mythos which seem to make the changes "Varanus" is still an immortal lizard with a skullish face that is contained in a pool of acid, "Sigrid" is still a child with reality warping powers that believes she's a Wizard of some kind.
2. The game being in the SCP-verse only becomes obvious in the last fifth of the game, during most of the plot it doesn't look like anything more than your typical Dystopic but colorful Cyberpunk Thriller which makes the shift in the narrative, specially if you didn't know of the SCP thing much more jarring, given how it comes out of fucking nowhere.
Maybe they stumbled into the thread and realized they don't want to be associated with a bunch of child grooming pedos. So, given it hasn't been mentioned here I think this is worthy to post. Jude Kriyot is probably one of my more favorite members of GAW. Even though I have a dislike for the group as an whole. Well anyway, I found it funny, it wasn't particularly anti-trans, as it was to highlight how companies exploit gayness for profit. But, most people would miss the point completely and whine until the jannies take it down.Oh boy it's me again. I found an amusing scp article while trawling randomly, which was of course written by Kinch. Oh the delicious irony. One has to wonder what the SCP twitter would belch out if this were real.
"Happy pride from the SCP foundation! We've knowingly harbored sexual groomers who have prayed on our users, LGBT members included!"![]()
I dislike the entire group. They're the poster-boys for two of the trends I've hated over the past few years: The loss of horror focus and succinct writing in favor of long-winded, dialogue-heavy character-focused content, and the writing community's performative and hollow support of progressive causes. It doesn't help that they've all but replaced the lolfoundation doctors as the resident self-inserts. They are always morally "correct," always get one-up on the Foundation and are almost never subject to the same cross-examinations you see with other Groups of Interest.Jude Kriyot is probably one of my more favorite members of GAW. Can't you see how the writers are hip with the young parsons?!?!?I dislike the entire group. They are the unambiguous "good-guys" in a universe of moral grays, never at fault beyond the occasional mistake or accident. They are never "wrong" in whatever their cause may be. None of them are selfish or malicious in any way, except towards stock villains who deserve their malice. The reason for this is pretty simple. They're almost always vehicles for long-winded author tracts. It's as on-the-nose as Bugs Bunny turning his head to the camera and lecturing children on why drugs are bad, and just as embarrassing to see.
