The stupid thing is I'm suspecting someone will likely defend the choice because "She looks more like her voice actress now", ignoring that the voice actress is now a decade older than when the game originally came out
The game takes place in 2033, the current year is 2022.

It's not that far off.

lol okay

inFamous deserved the remake treatment far more than this game, it and other PS3 games can only be streamed on PS5 after all.

The game won't even be 10 years old when this comes out, tell me why this is happening other than a chance to "validate" TLOU2?
I had heard somewhere that the team that's remaking the first last of us actually wanted to do the first uncharted instead, but didn't because uncharted 1 would have needed to be overhauled much more to be up to date (and this is more of a "stopgap project" than a real game). Which, y'know, that would be an actual good fucking reason to remake Uncharted 1. That game aged like shit the second Uncharted 2 came out.

I never saw a confirmation of course, but I just thought it was interesting.

Not to mention, Annie Wesching was in her mid 30's around the 1st tlou's production and is now 45. Which is why tess looks older in the remake.

This was supposed to rebuild hype before they announce the multiplayer GaaS TLoU. I don't think it's working

A pointless one at that, given how there's one for the PS4 that runs at 60fps and is readily available on PS Plus on the PS5.

Uncharted and Jak & Daxter were far more worthy of getting remade than this game, I guess Naughty Dog's too reliant on TLOU.
It's not really pointless, this version now has nothing tied behind multiplayer and can work entirely offline. Both the PS3 and PS4 versions can't actually do that.

Like if someone were to ask me what version to play, the PS5 one would probably be the best version even years down the road. Much like how the remastered Uncharted games became the best versions of the game to play.

It's definitely something I would pick up at 20 bucks or under if I ever felt like playing through the game again.

Be careful what you wish for, especially if it's by current day ND. I can just picture it:

Jak remake - Jak gets buttfucked to death by Baron Praxis at the beginning. The game is about Daxter hunting him down for revenge.
Uncharted remake - Elena gets brutally murdered (as a fuck you to Straley). Drake has to hunt down her killers. Along the way he "discovers himself" and troons out by the end.

In a way I'm glad ND has become a TLOU factory. It prevents them from destroying anything else (for now).

I pirated the whole game + its DLC on my HFW PS3 like a month ago and aside from its downloader the whole thing worked fine completely offline. Didn't even get banned with the downloader being opened lmao. What's tied to the multiplayer in the PS3 version aside from the multiplayer-only content?

wouldnt make a lot of sense to do that considering uncharted 4 exists

The multiplayer had mainly trophies tied to it that kept you from getting everything in the game because it wasn't it's own separate list. The PS3's multiplayer has been taken offline so you can no longer get full completion in the game. The PS4's online is still active but it requires a ton of stupid bullshit online.

The PS5 version will have no online it looks like, so if it follows the uncharted collection they'll have additional things in the single player campaign to do. The Pre-order weapon skins that they're offering may be stuff re-used from the original multiplayer(I'm not sure but I think the shotgun skin was part of the cash shop). Originally the Naughty Dog items were preorder bonuses but since they have different pre-order bonuses this time, those may possibly be included with the base game. The stuff like the reload speed sounds like the perks you could get in multiplayer as well.
