On another note, Paisley's mother admited in a Q&A that disappeared before I could cap it stating that she does not use any nurses, etc. in Paisley's care because she knows her daughter better then them.

So sad. Paisley is probably barely getting her basic care needs met by her incompetent, untrained mother and definitely not anything that could actually improve her miserable life. She's not a zombie like Buna or the Fartleys so she could get something out of PT, OT, SLP, SPED and massage therapy etc. Even though she's probably quite retarded, she doesn't seem to be mentally a complete potato.
Who knows how much extra hypoxic damage her mom has let happen due to doing the ambu-bagging herself and not letting a specialized nurse do it. And making her do stupid shit like put her directly in snow without snow clothes, "dancing" and costumes. She should know her fake ass attempts to let Paisley do things are just things that trigger her into discomfort to outright crisis. It's all about her parents' wants and not her needs.
They should do things SHE would enjoy. Maybe she'd like to watch a tv mounted on the ceiling instead of just being put to stare at a blank ceiling all day. They could add pretty decorations and colored lights to the ceiling too so it's more mentally stimulating for her to look at. It's not like they couldn't afford it with all the donations they get. But they would rather spend it on themselves for vacations that don't do anything to enrich Paisley's life and probably stress her out.
Even just little things to make her more comfortable like super soft organic cotton or microfibre onesies for her to wear. They seem to have no empathy for her or try to see things from her point of view.

I've only just seen this now but I think it's blatantly obvious that she doesn't really give much of a shit about her dying dead son and is much more interested in the fame. I get that losing your own offspring would absolutely wreck your mental state but going as far as to try to copyright a Facebook group name and a 4 minute video clip (if I'm not mistaken) really shows how messed up her priorities are. I completely agree and would participate in the Eagle Eyes heist. That's another thing I forgot to mention that would probably benefit her. I agree they are undereducated and lazy. I know access to services is an issue but they could probably pay for these treatments with the thousands of fundraising dollars they raise that's supposed to be to benefit Paisley anyways.
Plus whatever medicaid program she must be on probably has at least some of it covered. I know Robyn gets SLP and PT for Luna that is useless to her but probably not for little Paisley. Paisley's mom is just too lazy/cheap to buy the gas and drive there and too anal to have nurses come in to care for her, so she'd probably be the same about other therapists. What a shitshow. Hollie owns the copyright. We all own the copyright to our words, videos, and pictures. That doesn’t mean that others can’t use her material for commentary. It’s called Fair Use. We couldn’t take everything she’s written and publish it into a book with no changes, but commenting on her posts and videos is fine. No matter how much she wants to control her page, she can’t.

I found the post by @Treasure Champs interesting and it got me thinking about her history. Hollie is, for lack of a better phrase, a control freak. Not only with her posts- just think about past instances of her being in the media: a pharmacy screws up her kids medicine (which didn’t harm him,) but she made a scene-she was going to make sure this never happened again! When her oldest was two, there was an incident with him, and she makes a scene to prevent it from happening again. A road rage brush with the law happens, and what causes road rage? A need to control, and the certainty that one is right. They cut me off, they deserve punishment. Archie was removed from school due to behavior problems and she has to fight the district (or British equivalent) to get him where she wants him. I doubt the Brits are any different than the US in that kids have to be educated, so whatever school or rules they wanted, she wouldn’t do, she had to fight so it went her way. And she’s trying to control the updates, who says what, etc.

She’s controlling, and she knows best. She knows better than other drivers, pharmacies, the educational systems, medical professionals, now judges - and goddammit she’s going to make them all listen!

Sometimes, kids of alcoholics or drug addicts grow up with a need for control, since they often lived in chaos. I wonder if Hollie had a situation like that.

Even if she did, I’m not excusing her at all. Doesn’t matter how one grew up, adults should have the tools to overcome it. Looking back at what we know about her, trying to control and fighting for her “rights” seems to be an obvious theme and she should have recognized this years ago and gotten help to let go a bit. I’ll bet her family understands this all too well, so nobody has even tried to get her to see the truth even if they understand it.

I think though, as @Treasure Champ stated, some people with this trait cannot stop until forced, but then when they’ve finally got nothing left, the weight has been lifted off their shoulders and they feel relief, even if it didn’t go their way.

Hollie will never admit it if she ever gets there. She probably won’t, and will blame doctors and hospitals forever, trying to win an unwinnable fight.

I don't disagree but the Gard's are trying to introduce a new law that seems to give parent's more choice/power, if agreed by a doctor to be in the best interest of the child, on the treatment that should be pursued and to avoid legal battles. It seems okay on paper but I fully expect legal battles to continue because the underlying issue in a lot of these cases seems to be that the parents don't agree with the doctors

Anyway, public opinion becomes to matter here because without their case being at least semi-public, through interviews or statements, pressure for something to change normally builds up because there's public interest. I really doubt the Gards would have ever got close to this if their case just played out in pure privacy without it being reported on or statements being heard from the parents afterwards

I know that it's generally accepted in this thread that Paisley isn't a full potato, but I don't think she'd benefit from the Eagle Eyes much more than the Hartleys did. Her brain literally could not form correctly because of her genetic mutation. She may appear more aware than Luna because she has slightly more brain, but I don't think she is capable of using a communication device in a meaningful way.

Still, I think it would be worth a shot especially since she doesn't appear to be completely blind (cortically or otherwise).

There was a video posted a while back of her cooing/interacting with her grandpa(?) which makes me think if nothing else getting a therapist/etc to at least evaluate her would be worth a shot. Even a few basic simplified signs and preserving/working on what little mobility she has would probably improve her QOL a lot.

Unfortunately the ball is in her parents court for that stuff.

Becuse the resulting death would be horrible, dramatic, out of control and traumatising for the medics and other people in the hospital. The chances are they would die in transit, as opposed to a peaceful situation in hospital.
