JP is typically kinda done on an ad hoc basis. When you reach 50k then Anycolor covers the cost of a costume, but how long it takes depends on the artists schedule and whatnot. They're not released on a wave by wave basis, as seen with Selejo's new costumes being released over a span of several months.

The only new costumes for EN have been Lazulight's, and they were all revealed on the same day, which has created the expectation that EN will go with the wave by wave costume reveals going forward.

She did say at the end of the recent 5 hour lisa collab that when management asked her what her song should be she told them "circus" and then sent them a bunch of touhou music.

As for my thoughts on the song itself, singing has never been Pippa's strong suit but I am glad that she got her own song and that she released it in the most Pippa way possible.

This will likely be the first of what will become common mixed waves, given that the last audition in March was for all genders to audition.

Ethyria still stands as the only audition with publicly teased designs, too, which may also be an indication that the last audition covered for Wave 6 and Wave 7.

I don't know if I said it out loud, but tweets like this have always indicated a new wave.

The timing of the day is a little off, though. All 5 waves have previously been teased at 12pm JST but this one was 12am JST, which is leading to some speculation that either

A) The next tweet will come in 12 hours
B) The moon theming might be indicating Selen (possibly new outfits)

Selen has a 'Special Stream' on Saturday at a weird time (XX:15), but the rest of Obsydia have not released their new schedules yet to possibly corroborate an outfit relay. Pomu and Finana's outfit reveals were 45 minutes-ish long which might leave an opening for an XX:15 time slot.

It is also about time for Wave 6 regardless, and I speculated as much when I talked about Aruvn's hiatus and connection to some of the Nijis. It's been 3 months since the auditions closed and about 7 months between audition openings, which is about right for their closed audition schedule.

Pretty sure Scuttle is referring as to how the silhouettes of the characters were released officially for the audition. Applicants were auditioning for those specific characters, which is unlike how any of the other EN waves have worked.

Vshojo only had a small following in Japan (mostly from people having watched clips of girls like Vei prior to when Vshojo was even formed). The recent ads and them recruiting Kson and Mike/Nazuna is basically a lot of the JP audience's first ever time hearing about them.

Doesn't help that Vshojo primarily streams on Twitch which is still not all that popular compared to YouTube in Japan. To put things into perspective joining Twitch basically made Nazuna one of the top 5 JP streamers period on the platform by default

Edit: Main contributor towards Twitch not being popular is mostly because a lot of the JP audience already recently migrated from Nico Nico Douga to YouTube. A lot of the former Nico Nico users and creators already settled on YouTube being their new home so very little people in Japan really bothered to make another jump towards a third content platform.

I'm referring to the audition page, yes. As I understand it, it's the only application process that asked what character they want to apply for.

Best PR is sitting back, seeing Tempus' designs get panned and the girls tiptoe around acknowledging their existence, and then releasing a mixed wave with nice designs.

Saying that, there's a feeling in my stomach that Wave 6 designs might be dogshit too because none of these companies seem capable of capitalising on each others mistakes: instead preferring to trip over one another until they all cross the finish line equally battered and bruised.
