Almost anything is subjective, that doesn't really change that proportionally speaking more people thought Chris was at least pitiable back when he was a virgin with rage rather than this insane tranny rollercoaster ride where he openly spits on anyone who helps him, if they don't comply sufficiently with his retarded delusions.
Personally I think that evolved over time. Combination of social isolation, being terminally online preaching into the Twitter void about his delusions, sexual deprivation, etc. It would be impossible to say if he always had the desire toward Barb, it's possible he's entertained the idea before but I don't think he would have acted on it without the aforementioned factors.
Well, I did say most people, not all people. I'm sure there are those who expected he might do something insane someday. I think the popular perception was that Chris was a mostly harmless tard, and people expected if he did something fucked up that it would be part of sperg meltdown (like the blarms stuff) rather than the oddly calculated shit he did to Barb.
I don't get why this guy keeps insisting on this, he's fucking 62, keep it a hobby. Trying to build a business that is bound to attract assholes, and relies on a terminal manbaby is a fucking headache on the concept stage, let alone actually working into making it a thing. Just think of it, an almost elderly guy having to take care of an entire house inhabited by a manbaby without any work ethic, hygiene and a colossal fucking ego and sense of entitlement. I wouldn't do it if you paid me six fucking figures to work on that!
Watching Chris now is like watching a show that went on for far too long, the viewership dwindled, the writers quit and the quality noticeably dropped, but the network keeps renewing it. Many people stopped, but some still watch it just to see how it will end. Chris might be boring now, but he's still a notable figure on popular culture (internet history is part of it), it's only natural that people would still watch him if only to see if anything mildly entertaining comes out!

Kengle once made up a delirious idea for how KF could work. IIRC it involved "tiers", and of course lolcows had to consent for threads to be open in the first place.
Kengle has stated that his idea for Onion Farms was to focus primarily on what he deems to be "celebrity gossip", not so much lolcows.

For fuck's sake, Null is almost 30. He wasted 2 years on an obviously lost cause. Now everyone can deflect anything he says with "are sure just as you were sure that Chris didn't fuck Barb, when there was an actual recording of him confessing to this?"
No, it doesn't. Anything that includes locking him up is not as much as helping him as making sure that he is not going to cause any trouble and anything that doesn't simply isn't going to help, because he is 40 years old and he spent all this time making his character worse, it's just impossible to get through him.
Kengle has talked about wanting to implement his Sonichen characters into Chris's work, even suggesting creating short stories and novels. I take this website to be an attempt to turn Sonichu into a legitimate franchise which, as many people in the thread pointed out, will very likely come with its own set of hardships outside of just the "public image". This is likely going to be another one of those projects that Kengle randomly decides to abandon and restart years later.
