On that note, I remember him bringing up that he was going to give the rights out for a TV show/movie adaptation which sounded super arrogant even then and the show would ironically lose its magic if it was some bootleg thing.

Wish the dude talked more about his happenings with other horror channels personalities, would do him a lot better than bitching about people not understanding him all the time.

He was a Nightmind type of person who was lacking personality (most of the time) but he didn't do the "roleplay" thing NM did nor did he have the production value but his videos were fine.

He did a good job being level with the viewer and was there if you wanted to get the real story behind something with his Interview with the Creator of Jeff the Killer being the biggest and most well-known example.

Remember his Cryptid videos and strange YouTube videos series being on the better side personally and his content is fine, it's nothing new for him or the channel but it just feels kind of strange with his channel being dead for a while but that's a given.

Btw please post the video where he bitches about gay shit, that sounds really funny even better if it was before or while 2016.

Actually, what happened was Max Landis sent Slimebeast an email asking to buy the rights to Abandoned by Disney so that it could be adapted in a season of that Channel Zero show on SyFy* and Slimebeast asked if he could license the story out instead of outright selling it to SyFy. I don't remember if Max ever responded but obviously nothing ever came of it.

*Max produced the first 2 seasons of Channel Zero.

The one caveat is that Max Landis didn't just produce season 2 but also the first season as well.

There's a fake audio recording that has been going around for years. The actual recording is 6 minutes long. 2/3rds of it is Timothy Treadwell screaming. He was alive the entire time.
One of Tim's ex girlfriends has the only copy of the tape. It's in a lock box and probably will never see the light of day.

Want to know something amusing? there are creepypasta writers that years after they wrote their autistic horror story, they like to come out and pull the "I was pretending to be retarded" bullshit. One example, is the writer of Happy Appy. It doesn't work because it's written so genuinely that you just can't buy it. The guy later on kept trying to own the joke so much that he made cringier attempts at going "remember that pile of shit I wrote years ago? That sucked, look at me I'm parodying my own work haha".

Happy Appy is a gem. The guy doubled down on the "It was all part of the joke" idea so much that he made a bunch of evne worse sequels. It's better to just admit you were an autistic teenager that wrote a shitty story than to waste your time trying to retcon it's existence as an elaborate critique.

did NOT know that, Max was also the one that got NM to shill for CryptTV (which led to the UnderCooked Analysis drama). Speaking of Happy Appy-I personally loved UCA's podcast episodes in which they ripped it apart.

I thought season 1 of Channel Zero was alright. The second didn't hold me long enough to finish.

Reminder that bears can also sense when you're scared of them and will actively seek you out when you think about then. They get especially angry when you larp about them being invincible killbeasts and not just territorial wild animals, so everyone stay safe.

I wish they had a proper back up of their shows, I really enjoyed their reading & analysis of Borrasca, but it doesn't look like it has been uploaded again anywhere. The search isn't helped by it being turned into some podcast production.

Their former podcast network has a complete archive of every episode of the show available for streaming/download.

In addition, I believe it's all still up on iTunes. Still find it really sad their entire channel got entirely wiped off YouTube. Rip.
