The new meaning is from convict slang. There are some backronyms for it, like Not On Normal Criminal Exercise, supposedly because they didn't get to exercise with normal prisoners and this was on their uniform, but that kind of etymology is almost always bullshit and it is not believed to be actually the case.

Take DDLG_lover for example here, they aren't just a mong with poor social skills, they're a depraved fetishistic coomer as well that can only seemingly get it off to biological dad and daughter sex. Shoutout to them for posting in /r/daughteranddad which exposed me to another daughtercest clone with depraved redditors like them BEGGING dads to post pictures of their kids.



And I'm starting to think the average redditor is weighted towards THESE types, not the typical harmless sperg. Considering how mask off redditors seem to get when their worldview is impacted in any way, it's clear that even the leddit wholesomeposting is just a facade to cover up how sick and depraved they are.

Also real talk, subreddits get banned all the time so it's better to bookmark USERS not subreddits if you're screenshot farming. Did the animal fuckers stop posting in animal fucking subreddits back when /r/beastiality got banned? nope, they just started posting in new start up subreddits. They have absolutely ZERO self control issues and will keep on posting until they get banned.

EDIT: That actually brings up another thing. It's fucking weird how for years reddit actually had a motherless underside that is being completely retconned. Like barring CP it seemed like there was a way for most of the extreme things on the internet to be carefully grouped together in its own subreddit. Snuff was no longer on niche websites like liveleak, it was three clicks away from a my little pony subreddit.

Unironically one of the most repellant behaviors redditors engage in. They're fucking autists so they assume whatever definition they read on Wikipedia or wherever is every bit as valid as the accepted colloquial usage. A genuine misunderstanding could at least be understood, but you get the sense they're doing it in a desperate bid to appear 'smart'.
