Biggest bullshit in a video game

Amazons are the cultured man's taste.

Been replaying Gran Turismo 4 via emulator and they really do expect perfection for those license tests.

Fuck you, that was gold.

This is why I always prefer Forza to Gran Turismo. At least with Forza, everything's unlocked from the beginning, and you don't have to go through all the bullshit to unlock certain cars of certain classes, you just have to earn the credits (which is fairly easy to do, since the game practically gives them away).

Gran Turismo's license tests were bullshit.

sometimes Steam takes several times longer "allocating disk space" than actually downloading my game

Is your drive fragged? It probably wants to install game files in contiguous space.

biggest bullshit for games. For me its when devs/fans use cope outs to excuse shitty writing, like YIIK or Final Fantasy 8, I hate how people excuse Squall being an unlikeable uncaring prick with excuses like "he may be a vidya game character with autism", no its just shit writing. I feel some fanbases get so desperate for a game that they'll gobble up whatever shit a company gives them and then complain about the state of the franchise (cough cough most nintendo fans).

Downloading and installing are two different things. You may have downloaded an update after installing the software.

But that can be annoying.

I don't think so, plus, I'm using a fairly new portable 4TB external drive. Maybe it's just slow?
"External" is probably the problem here, are you connected over USB or is it an external SATA drive?
4TB drives also tend to be slower in RPM than smaller drives too. You might be on 5400RPM if you're unlucky.

Elemental affinities in RPGs. Unless you go full area effects a la' Divine Divinity 2. It's basically pointless gameplay wise - Do what elemental weakness chart tells you without thinking. Games with limited skills are even worse, since either waste skill slots "just in case" or just play until you need to switch (that happens in FF7R). Having elemental characters means that they can be completely useless against bosses, like Tokyo Mirage with the final boss being resistant to flame elements so fuck the fire character.

Fuck Touma in general, fire resistance is oddly common on all enemies and before you get Session Pierce, he'll be the one fucking up your sessions

The Shin Amon fight from Judgment.

Anyone who's played the game probably knows what I'm talking about, it's not the fight itself that's the problem, if anything it's actually pretty fun.

But it's let down by one tiny insignificant problem: The fucking frame rate.

The first phase of the fight isn't so bad, you wail into him a bit with no problems and eventually he'll pull out lightsabers. This is where the problems begin because every time he uses them he launches some projectiles from them and the amount of particle effects going on with them when they hit you is staggering, your frame rate tanks to about 10-15 FPS and you'll end up dying frequently because your inputs weren't getting registered when they needed to be thanks to the frame rate, you'll usually end up dying because you couldn't switch over to the style that blocks damage from the projectiles due to a dropped input, doesn't help that he puts up a shield on the last quarter of his health that cause all the damage you deal to be minuscule.

Room-wide attacks in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.

At least save them for the post-game fucking Super Mystery Dungeon is unplayable...

But also having random mobs with Silver Wind being able to hit you get a ton of boosts and then attack 7 more times before you can even think to reach them is awful game design, I don't care if it's a rougelike they at least have the decency to let you equip armour that'd let you mitigate or become immune to the damage this series doesn't have that so keep Room wide damage out of main story dungeons.

In DX, Rayquaza spams twister, it hits the entire room and may make you flinch. I forgot which move he uses, but if you manage to reach him, he'll use it and push you away, then start spamming twister again. Also the game is easy as shit and you can reach rayquaza without dying once. Not sure why they made a game super casual and then made the final boss (minus post-game content) OP af, but they did the same thing with Gen 4 remakes.

I never played DX I don't own a switch but it's complete and utter Bullshit to be killed when halfway across a room with zero ability to stop it or do anything about it by a Porygon2's Discharge in EoS or any Silver Wind Spammer in SMD.

In shit like Zero Isle or any post game dungeon it's fine it's whatever I don't like it but it's a bonus dungeon it's supposed to be challenging but having "Fuck you, you die now" mechanics in the main story just doesn't work.
