I can understand why they felt so... emotionally hurt about it this time. She basically took a dump on them as a deflection from the males collab question. Teamates have always seemed to me like masochistic pigs who get off on her occasional abuse of them but this time it wasn't exactly warranted. Doubly so when she (likely correctly but still pre-emptively) ascribed an anti-male sentiment to them.
Obviously I can't speak for all Teamates but being a fan of someone who clearly sets boundaries and will speak out if there's a danger of trespassing them is not really masochistic. I did think her answer was weak, should have just said "maybe" and left it at that.

Or even better, be like Gura and don't acknowledge anything at all, ever.

This sounds like that retarded "bad apples" take that you see on sites like Reddit. If your bar is so unpopular that other (more numerous) patrons don't bring their un-Nazi friends then your bar is already Nazified. You don't have to recognize them. Hololive and its fanbase already has people with SJW-type opinions but they don't acknowledge it on stream. Doomposting about Nina and Aia was more comparable to thinking the bartender himself would start displaying Nazi flags in the bar.
Doomposting immediately dies down when it's clear the talent is just not gonna bring it up on stream. This happened with both Kiara and Nina. Now we have a talent who does bring it up, that's an actual difference. It remains to be seen how it's going to work out.

/here/ faggotry will never not be funny, no, your oshi does not share in your inane fucking ramblings and no she doesn't spend hours and hours lurking threads reading your retarded rrats and laughing at all of the vitriol and derision the she and her co-workers get on a daily basis. The only ones who do that are literal fucking schizos like pippa who milk retards for content.
If they didn't read what other people post they wouldn't have issues with hurtful comments being posted. We also know Pekora uses 2ch.
If your friend is anywhere serious about actually being good in the medical field - she should go there. There ain't no fucking strict government regulations and red tape over there. Med students are thrown in the deep end and are expected to survive. They'll treat shit diseases during their internships/residencies that they'll only ever read about in textbooks in Western schools. Oh, you wanna be a surgeon? Here, have a steady dose of stitching up stabbing victims, victims with machete trauma, blunt force traumas, every sort of trauma you can think of. What's that? You want first hand experience in infectious diseases?? Say no more fam. You're gonna treat poor fucks with malaria, TB, dengue, Hepatitis A to fucking E and etc. Seriously, if you're a medical professional in the Philippines and you walk out of there and back to anywhere in the Western Hemisphere, you're gonna come out of it like a grizzled war vet that you're gonna look with disgust at bitch-ass white nurses cringing and panicking at a simple tracheostomy insertion. And guess what? You're not gonna be swimming in school loan debt because the fucking tuition is peanuts compared to the US cost on top of the incomparable value you reap out of the variety of actual field experience on shit first-world students will never even sniff in a lifetime just by being & practicing solely within the US healthcare system.
But what if their friend wanted qualifications that get them a job in a 1st world country and not to be stuck in the Philippines forever? Not all qualifications are equal and if you're going to go through the effort of medical school you should do it with the goal of a sustainable career. I'm not saying money is everything but I would be pretty salty if I spent years of my life grinding for something that had me stuck in a hellhole when I could have applied the same effort to get a decent quality of life where I don't need to worry about getting hacked to death with a machete after a long days work.

This reminds me of the Nazi Bar Story:
I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them."

And i was like, oh ok and he continues.

"you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.

And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people."

And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.

If we consider NijiEN as "the bar", we are in the teal part of the story. What people are wary about is the orange part. Because they've seen the orange part play out already in certain parts of the indie chuuba scene.

I was specifically talking about the goslings among teamates. And it's a pattern where she sometimes reacts poorly.

There were several threads complaining about Ina'nis' attitude towards chat lately too. One of the examples was this

For me views don't really matter, it's the fact that she clearly and consciously emphasizes them that I find disturbing. She wouldn't do that if she didn't intend to follow up on this. Considering her wavemates, it very well might be with management's approval too.

I can understand why they felt so... emotionally hurt about it this time. She basically took a dump on them as a deflection from the males collab question. I'm leaving aside the question of whether it's wise to show your disdain for losers giving you money - even if they are losers who know they're losers and you were a loser too - while under a corporation that takes inspiration from idols of all things. It seems to have been working for her this far - see masochistic pig part - but it's ultimately her business whether the lucky streak will ever end.
I suspect a big reason Ame didn't like SuperChats was because she didn't want people dictating how she ran her stream. She is very much a streamer that does things at her own pace and the way she wants to.

This kind of thinking is extremely parasocial to me, and I don't know why people think that just because they threw $5 bucks down or even an akasupa on a streamer they suddenly have any input on how a stream is ran. That is a ridiculously controlling and entitled mindset to have.

Not to mention people on /vt/, and some even on Reddit and Twitter have been saying acting pretty autistic when it came to collabing with the males, especially Ame, for whatever reason. Ame has always been pretty blunt about her activities and when her audience is being autustic. This time is no different.

Also, it is always ironic to me when people complain about streamers "being mean" to their viewers and then turning around and wondering why everyone everyone is so sensitive nowadays.

Oh, I agree and you can even trace that attitude back to Witcher 3 (which afair was her first stream and she dropped it in a huff because of a few backseaters) but it's still a bit unfair to them and something I'd expect more from an independent streamer. Based on what I read it especially rubbed idolfags the wrong way - it's pretty unheard of to show condescension towards fans in the idol industry because part of the kayfabe is showing gratitude to their fans as those responsible for their success. Like with the whole boyfriend part, ruining that illusion hurts the parasocials who already feel like they're the lowest of the low.
I still don't get why she attracted so many goslings though, it's definitely unhealthy.

No idea who this is, but it popped up on my Twitter feed. There is certainly something interesting going on with that model

I'll bet their head won't be a rhombus...
Unmoving plaid is one of the coolest things ever, I'm surprised it's not seen more often

Hoomans on /vt/ are freaking out a little bit because the art that Mumei used for her thumbnail is the same art used in the OP for the current /who/ thread.

It's very unlikely, but I want to believe that Moomers watches her thread and posts in it ever once in a while just to call someone a faggot.
She also drew a a kiwi in one of her first streams. At this point, denying that Mumei's a lurker is like denying that Kiara's a lurker

He did when he was arguing with her on Twitter as well

I'd genuinely just be curious what about Ame attracted idolfags in the first place.
Beyond the paper thin vaneer of "we're all idols haha idol meetings" Ame doesn't really do much in that direction so it throws me off when people expect some level of idol norms to be met by someone who doesn't really do any of the idol shtick. which that's not to disparage her whatsoever, she does her thing and she enjoys doing it, it's just weird to me that people expect something out of her that she's never really given in the almost 2 years she's been in Hololive.

The thread is very slowly starting to devolve into “the Vtuber I like is better because their fans haven’t done something cringy/bad/ect, unlike YOUR Vtuber!”

Some of you are about a half-step away from going full Twitter and labeling them “problematic”.

Just enjoy the fake anime girl playing the video game or making a joke or whatever.
