Chris will be physically safe for the time that they spend in the pokey if they give him solitary. But they will come out way more mentally fucked up than when they went in. solitary is one of the worst things that you can do to a human without killing them.

He’s going to need PC more than a chomo or law enforcement. With the latter, your case info is protected and the smarter ones will make up a story as to why they’re in prison to avoid becoming a target. The more I think about it the more I think that if this was a person less autistic and mentally screwed up than Chris, they prosecution would go for a heavier charge and sentence. My guess is though that just from a media standpoint, the last thing any DA or court wants is the insane attention and possible media fiasco attached to The Trial of Chris-Chan. If they were to give him time served with a 5 - 10 year probation with conditions like that he be required to live in a care facility determined by the state and only have supervised contact with Barb, it would probably be the best as well as publicly low key option.
