"My first class today was a polisci class in feminism, so it's like 99 percent women. I pulled out my MBA to take notes, and immediately half the girls in there were asking to look at my MBA from me and play with it. It was crazy - I've never seen such a response to a computer before. Apple is going to sell a million of these.

"Of course, you can have any opinion you want. But why hate Facebook so strongly? I <3 Facebook. It's an amazing tool.
There's a girl I went to college with. She lives in Seattle and works for Amazon's cloud division. I totally would have lost track of her after I graduated, but we're going to hang out on my next trip. It's so great for keeping up those friendships.

Took C++ to graduate,

"I'll never be as good as say, Spacer, but I'm not bad at this. I wouldn't say it's hard. I had to take a few classes in C++ to graduate, and found objective C easy to pick up. There are some fundamental paradigms that take a while to get, like the Model-View-Controller way of dividing up the code.
Since being a graphic artist and animator is my first, best skill (as you can see from my website), I chose to specialize in the Quartz Composer side of things. You can see my work in quite a few apps with my former SF bay employers. But - I'll leave the hard coding to people like Spacer. When I realize the amount of work that went into his deliveries app, it really boggles my mind.
If you want to get started, I'd really recommend "Beginning iPhone Development - Exploring the iPhone SDK." It's a really well written book, though the exercises ramp up in difficulty quickly. If you have experience with programing, you'll probably have an Aha moment where you realize it's something you understand.
