You've been brainwashed into thinking kids must have a dream-like upbringing with every luxury available, yet it was the men who had nothing as kids who made this country great.

Gonna correct ya there. Our founding fathers had relatively privileged lives and good educations for their time. They were effectively Noble material. However because they actually had something to lose, along with the knowledge that came with study and debate, the understanding that without proper representation, things would be untenable came to the forefront. This understanding allowed them to take the actions that would lead to the birth of the USA.

It is not that people do or don’t have luxurious upbringings, it is what those people DO with what they are given that defines them. Great men are great wether they inherit a spot near the top or claw their way from the bottom, both exist.

This is why the current power holders are so obsessed with crushing anyone that looks competent, regardless of financial or social class.

Relevant Side Tangent: Look at Gamergate (I know it’s old news, bear with me here) as an example. Zoe and Anita most likely killed several actual female indie dev careers simply because they were actually talented and therefore didn’t need to play ball. Why? The talent threatened to sideline Zoe as the queen of female indie devs, and Anita as the queen of the female representation experts.

It goes a bit beyond that, you are not considering the larger picture.

Trump is likely to win the next presidential election, DeSantis by now has fairly clearly chosen to back trump and not stand against him despite the Demcorat's and Endangered Rino's best attempts.

So what do these two things have to do with Paypal and policy in Florida? Well, look at the politics -of- Florida.

Florida... -isn't- a red state, despite the rowing you see about it. it is -deep- purple, a near perfect split of Democrat and Republican... so how did Trump win by such a wide margin? Well, by absolute broad appeal to the middle, and without the entrenched voting patterns of other purple states like Wisconsin. For all my love of my home state, Wisconsin has a long history of voting Blue and a lot of old dog Democrats. Its purple, but with an ideological lean towards Dems.

Florida is straight down the middle, no lean, and that means its representative of the country at large. And the independents and moderates swing harder for Trump by the day. But most importantly on a national stage, any policy which is met with wide acclaim in Florida likely would see wide acclaim nation wide. This makes Florida a perfect testing bed for policy. Policy... which will be adopted and made federal policy.

So you have a governor, whose state will be looked at for policy approval, who has chosen to ally himself with -the- major presidential candidate... who in turn has a helluva grudge.

The bank thing isn't a threat to businesses in Florida, its a threat to businesses -in America at large-.

I take back any jokes about your bloodline, Chief Rabbinovitch.

I love the new NPC update of "Republicans are Terrorists!"

Bitch, if we were terrorists, you'd fucking know it.
Preach Brother! If me and my drinking buddies were Terrorists, we would be able to make "War Crimes" look like "War Mischief." Truly, a Defense/Combat Engineer's mind, unrestrained by petty things like "laws", "ethics", and "good taste" can come up with some some really depraved shit.

For instance, on of my good buddies has developed a booby trap for toilets. So there's the use case, hostile forces are about to take a town. Pick the best house or potential field headquarters location in that town. Plant the device(s) before you leave. Then wait.

The device itself is what makes the idea fascinating: An explosive device sealed inside of the floater. If handled correctly, traditional explosive sniffers won't pick it up. The bomb trigger is wired into a control system with an electric level, so the bomb knows when the toilet is being flushed. Here's the kicker, the device isn't set to go off at the first flush, but some number of flushes down the line. This is so that you don't catch maids or maintenance men, but the officers and officials who will later populate the building.

This is what just one of my friends prototypes in his free time, with no malice, and no real budget.

These motherfucking yuppie nigger-sheep think they have seen Terror? Friends, they have no idea. And in their ignorance, they think mean words and civil disagreement is all they will get when they attempt to start loading us into boxcars. If Civil War breaks out in these United States, Hell will have to be re-imagined, as it will be more pleasant than what will be perpetrated here on Earth.

With this administration I can't tell if this is a new position, a flub that he's trying to pretend he didn't do, or was always their stance.
This has generally been the US stance since Nixon, with creating this weird sort of pseudo ambiguity where we pretend like it's not a country despite funneling arms to bolster their defenses. Trump started bucking the trend by hinting at recognition and deviation from the One China Policy, which is a major red line to the PRC (and also a significant minority of ROC residents).

You know... It is curious how all the legit terrorist attacks have stopped ever sense sleepy joe was in office and his approval rating went to shit. Probably more of a covid thing, but we have an open border with crikets. You'd think we have something big going down by now.
This is true. There are undoubtedly international terrorists making their way through with the border as wide open as it is, but there has yet to be anything carried out. It's worrisome for sure, but I guess we should count ourselves lucky... for now. Most of the body counts getting racked up these days are due to mass shooters who are finally beginning to crack from the last two years of black swan scenarios. It's the only thing the MSM can focus on and beat over our heads to get us to surrender our 2A rights.

Brings to mind an honest question for our black kiwi population.

I keep seeing Dems hem and haw about how America is a racist country etc. Then I see guys like Herschel who will remind them no, we've actually made a lot of progress.

Which to my mind is true. Coming of age when I did, from what I saw, the 90s and early 00s were actually very good in terms of race relations, at least following the LA riots. There were some notable cases like that but for the most part I remember black and white people getting along.

Am I wrong and you guys just had a totally different perspective or are the Dems actively deteriorating what could have been considered a milestone of improved relations?
Without a doubt deteriorated it.

So this is alittle far from the topic of US politics but this guys lecture to a group of pig farmers.

He goes over war in the Ukraine, World Energy supply, World food production, American and other countries demographics, The ending globalism and what this means for pig farmers, Namely no fertilizer means countrie that import food starve.

I found it interesting take. EDIT THAT WAS PART ONE PART TWO TALKS MORE ABOUT THE END OF GLOBALISM

THIS IS PART 2

You guys were discussing how OWS scared the bankers into fostering race resentment unto the public to distract from class issues earlier.
And that's partially correct, but misses a huge part of the picture: the Tea Party.

College-educated Lefties throwing impotent protests about class issues is an American fixture at least as far back as the 1960's. If anything, they've neutered the appeal of the message by being so goddamn obsessed with that era's protest culture, even 60 years later. But a bunch of suburban-to-rural white Boomers articulating what was basically a template for MAGA at roughly the same time? That'll put visions of guillotines and purges in the nightmares of the elites. Because now it's apparent the class consciousness is spreading throughout the population.

There's a reason right after the protest movement started the New York Times began circulating a (now-debunked) bit of agitprop that the single biggest indicator someone would join the Tea Party was thinking that religion should have more influence in the government ca. 2004. Got to get the OWS types to hate their potential allies for being ebul fundies.
