My fiancee is not from the US and one of the things that she finds weird about the American Christian far right is the concept of the Rapture. While it's a very common belief in many branches nowadays, it's a very blackpilled Southern Baptist concept in particular. Looks like she hasn't strayed too far off from the church that she oh so hates after all. If she believes in reincarnation and "soul families" she'll be reunited with in future lives then she wouldn't have to worry about being suddenly shot up to (Christian) Heaven or having heathens volunteer to take better care of her animals after being said ascension.

I think Polissa thinks that since the internet is generally more left that she needs to be more left, but her politics and personal beliefs are very right wing.

This thread has gone from doing the Lord's work in calling out her lies, animal abuse, greed, and inability to make wise financial decisions into essentially giving credence to Polly's claims that we are twisting her words around.

I might agree with you if you pointed out that the amount of "Notice me, sempai" behavior increased since she was tipped off about the thread and Josh registered to give us his tough guy act. I know that behavior was frowned upon here at one time, so maybe it's a good time to remind ourselves to focus on what makes Polissa a lolcow while avoiding the temptation to directly engage her through our posts.

It's hard to twist her words around when she's publicly posting stuff that would earn 'Farms users multiple TMI and negrates if we were the ones posting the same stuff.

She's probably use gators as the scapegoats instead. "What if a gator mistakes Josh's legs for frog legs?!"

A gator would likely die if it bit Josh from the toxicity absorbed into his skin from the catbox stench and other nastiness inside their abode.

I want to hope so. That My Cat from Hell host is a former criminal that turned to rescuing cats. Rehabilitating an animal can be very therapeutic to both human and animal if done right.

I knew someone whose rescue pet was trained by prisoners as part of a work program. I think it's good that the people who realize they fucked up and have a sincere desire to be productive members of society again have the chance to do so. If Jenn has put her checkered past behind her and now does good things for pets in need, let's hope she keeps doing that and whatever good things exist in her daily life. I'd also agree we should let her be and enjoy how Polissa ignores Jenn's example of how to take care of rescued/stray animals and instead doubles down on her own lulzy behavior.

@Angry New Ager - Your post was hit by the quote bug, but I wanted to add that many older adults don't like using social media, even if they have accounts to stay connected with friends and family, because they prize their online privacy and dislike seeing others post online TMI. If Polissa posted about her ebegging saga on FB, they'd likely be repulsed if they're older conservative folks and the shit would definitely hit the fan.

Until she stops simultaneously begging for weed and pet food, I'm chalking this post up as performative. Next time she gets called out for putting unnecessary luxuries before feeding her pets and getting them medical care she'll just point to this post and go "no, see! I put my animals first! You can't put anything on the internet if it isn't true!" She probably also thinks if she posts something like this enough times then people will definitely believe her despite her other posts contradicting it.

That trailer is sad. If it weren't for the Sammieverse, it might be the worst one on this site. I assume it's near the house from the OP, but questionable trailers are a dime-a-dozen in the Shoals. It's very obviously an old one, and clearly wasn't taken care of; even well-maintained trailers of that era lasting more than 20 years would be a miracle. Can't wait for Poorlisa to start complaining about it.

I've seen a few references to Florence as a "college town" in the thread, but lolno, at least what usually comes to mind when people hear that term. UNA is more of a small, regional public university, and more than a block or two from campus doesn't really affect the character of the area IMO. (They do keep lions on campus though, which is kind of cool.) It's a stereotypical small southern city. The only cities in the state that I'd call a "college town" are Tuscaloosa and Auburn (you could maybe make the argument for Troy, but I wouldn't).
