I think it would be more likely Cole gets prison time for smothering Barb with a pillow.

Then him and Chris will be cell mates! What fun!
Cole hates Barb so he wouldn't be that merciful to her. I think the best punishment was to her keep taking care of Chris until he did what he did. Now, if Cole goes to jail, he would not be cell mates with Chris, since we already know he has the powerful autism card under his sleeve

Good luck getting Chris to check in with his probation officer.

By the way, for the legalfags here, what types of probation are there? Does a single failure to meet with your probation officer result in automatically going back to prison, or does it mean that they tighten the terms if your probation period or lengthen it, first?

It's a good point, but the helper/social worker adds one more level of oversight to that process, and unlike the cop has a lot more leeway as to what they can file an official concern about.

Checked Twitter and they’ve all decided he’s going to be let free bc of the ‘tism. Just saw a tweet where a guy said he wants to kill himself bc of it and all the replies are trying to talk him out of it. He ain’t free yet is he?
Zoomers are so pathetic, at least be an edgy A-log and tell everyone how you're going to beat Chris up or something once he's released instead of threatening to kill yourself over an internet lolcow.

"deferred disposition"
The language of this leads me to believe that since the judgment would be deferred and Chris would be released on probation, ANY violation of the probation will lead to an IMMEDIATE guilty judgment (and typically also facing maximum sentence for the original crime) along with the charge for the probation violation.

This would be a powder keg, but it's a tactical move on Heilberg's account because he can get Chris the fuck off his plate.

I know everyone in here is doomposting (can't blame you), but it's not like it's guaranteed he gets off on the tard defense at this point, is it? Who has to see the truth in order for him to still go on trial- the judge, the prosecution, a shrink? Obviously his attorney is gonna try and go for this, that's his job, but SURELY he won't actually walk... right?
Even if Chris walks on probation it's just delaying the inevitable, which is Chris getting in trouble with the law again.

Hell, assuming he walks and somehow secures the means to do so, he absolutely is beelining to 14BC as soon as possible, legal orders to stay the fuck away be damned. And then Chris gets to go back to jail for trying to break into his own home, if not worse!

The best case scenario for Chris, given what's happened before and after his arrest, is getting shipped off to some group home designed for extreme cases like him. Preferably in a state nowhere near Virginia. Put him in a 24/7 monitored environment with as much of a physical land distance barrier as possible, and he'll be stuck with nowhere to go.

Though I also am still dying to see those psych reports the lawyer ordered, because I can' imagine they even broached the subject of Chris being so delusional that he would be a threat to other psychiatric patients in the most oblivious manner possible.

Yeah, that probation is going to remain unviolated for less than a week and that's being generous. Chris literally has nowhere to go and he badly wants to return home. I hope the local PD is smart enough to park a dummy car at 14BC for a while to discourgage Chris from going back.

Closest crossover we are getting there is him writing a pretentious review on the Chris Chan a Comprehensive History documentary.

He's going back home to rape Barb and anyone else he can. This will be the outfit he wears upon release.

Serious question but given Chris has lost so much weight over the past year, assuming he walks will he be provided clothes that actually fit? Those might be the most normal clothes he'd have worn in literally years.

i love how people think Chris is so lucky, he's got a year in prison without trial. if this was someone people cared about people would be mocking the continuance instead of sperging over it. this is a pretty big violation of rights, remember that whole "speedy trial" amendment? this is exactly what it was meant to prevent. continuance for years on end. look at mercedes careera, chris could be continuanced for 4 years. which would be way past any max sentence for what he's accused of.

I like this. It’s like giving him enough rope to hang himself. A cunt hair of leniency now maybe, but it pretty much ensures he can’t use the same tricks twice. It’s like Heilberg gets the W, but also he knows Chris will fuck this up on his own accord and end up back where he actually belongs.

He probably thinks he's going to be relentlessly hounded by the media after release because he was wrongfully prosecuted.

If the Teflon Tard skates again he will not be able to resist going to 14bc to retrieve his toys and other nonsense he treasures. He will be back in hot water soon enough.

Let's hope that Barb cleared out all of Chris' things. Realistically we all know that if he's released the first thing he'll do is go home. He won't be able to resist telling SOMEONE he either let himself in or Barb let him in. Cue the cops showing up and throwing him back in jail.

If he managed it for a week I'd be shocked, if he lasted for a month I'd be impressed, if he did it and didn't tell anyone for a month I'd be checking myself in for a mental health evaluation.

That's if we don't have people covering for him.
