I know everyone in here is doomposting (can't blame you), but it's not like it's guaranteed he gets off on the tard defense at this point, is it? Who has to see the truth in order for him to still go on trial- the judge, the prosecution, a shrink? Obviously his attorney is gonna try and go for this, that's his job, but SURELY he won't actually walk... right?
Even if Chris walks on probation it's just delaying the inevitable, which is Chris getting in trouble with the law
again.
Hell, assuming he walks and
somehow secures the means to do so, he absolutely is beelining to 14BC as soon as possible, legal orders to stay the fuck away be damned. And then Chris gets to go back to jail for trying to break into his own home, if not worse!
The best case scenario for Chris, given what's happened before and after his arrest, is getting shipped off to some group home designed for extreme cases like him. Preferably in a state nowhere
near Virginia. Put him in a 24/7 monitored environment with as much of a physical land distance barrier as possible, and he'll be stuck with nowhere to go.
Though I also am still dying to see those psych reports the lawyer ordered, because I can' imagine they even broached the subject of Chris being so delusional that he would be a threat to other psychiatric patients in the most oblivious manner possible.
The language of this leads me to believe that since the judgment would be deferred and Chris would be released on probation, ANY violation of the probation will lead to an IMMEDIATE guilty judgment (and typically also facing maximum sentence for the original crime) along with the charge for the probation violation.
This would be a powder keg, but it's a tactical move on Heilberg's account because he can get Chris the fuck off his plate.
Yeah, that probation is going to remain unviolated for less than a week and that's being
generous. Chris literally has nowhere to go and he badly wants to return home. I hope the local PD is smart enough to park a dummy car at 14BC for a while to discourgage Chris from going back.
