He'd be stupid as fuck to lie about details like that, because if the police and/or one or more of those councillors come out and say "that didn't happen", he's fucked. He's not the sharpest tool in the box, but he's not that dumb.

I think his story is likely true for the most part, but he's just using it as an opportunity to play the "OMG, my life is in danger! Troon genocide in action!!!" card in order to profit as healthily as he can from it.

Went back and looked at some of the shit from his "press kit" he released, and something about these evidence bags really doesn't sit right with me.
The way they're labeled, the way they're clearly laid out on his wrinkled-ass bed sheets, only one has something in it, one isn't even sealed, etc. something smells

not saying he's faking it or anything, but evidence bags aren't exactly hard to get ahold of. Trying not to PL here, but I have hundreds of the damn things (not canadian ones, obvs, but still)

hold the fucking phone, is this an actual defense lawyer he’s supposedly going to use this money on? i assumed it was so he could try to sue the london police for the deadnaming or whatever it is that’s got him all wound up. what could possibly be the reason for needing a criminal defense lawyer if you’ve been swatted?

Not that anything like this will ever reach a jury trial or anything close to it, but purging data, in the hands of an even remotely competent lawyers, looks way worse than probably anything they could find on there. If you delete it, it opens up the imagination of the jury; if it's there, it's just another boring line-by-line slog where every intent, source and context is debated until the jury zones out. Also, the fact that you deleted it can almost ALWAYS be entered into evidence, while there's a good (again, depending on circumstance and the quality of lawyers and inclination of judge) chance anything blatantly incriminating can be excluded.
