I think IRyS did the soundboard thing back when her throat was so bad she was told not to speak unless absolutely necessary.

As mentioned, Kobo has played the demo. She has it scheduled again this week. Subaru and Roboco have also played it; the game is only available in English but Subaru had a good grasp of the plot and Roboco had her mod Boxi to translate. None of them stream in EN but they all had live TLs.

My picks from the Vtubers I watch are Subaru and Koyori.

Subaru has previously provided text translations for her morning show and so on, but I'd say late 2021 is when her English skill became noticeable. For example, at the time Kiara encouraged her to do a Turducken (Subaru/Kiara/Reine) collab in English, even though Kiara and Reine can speak Japanese. At this point Subaru regularly speaks and writes English where appropriate. She also recently played Mortuary Assistant and live-translated the plot.

As for Koyori, I'm not certain if her issue was skill, confidence, or both. I considered her to have the weakest English out of HoloX, but I really liked her approach to English learning (or "learning") streams; there was one where she basically had Bae dissect her grammar and syntax for the whole stream. She's stopped doing those, but in the past few months she's been calling in to EN totsus and seems much sharper in listening and speaking.

Nice compilation. I don’t know if the question of why she doesn’t audibly laugh is actually that interesting. Her laugh isn’t particularly distinctive and there are some moments in the video, like the interview, where it is silent.

It seems more of just a stylistic choice to have a silent laugh just how many other vtubers alter their voice.

Also, her roommate is super cute IMO.

I do meal prep every Sunday by sous vide a large amount of chicken and finishing it off on a skillet every morning before work. This is one thing I don't fuck around with by making sure the chicken is cool before refrigerating. It's nightmare fuel.

Nagao knew very basic English before he really got into learning but his growth in the language is admirable to see. Another nijijp that has been trying to learn English is Chigusa. She has done a couple collabs with nijien trying to speak English with them and will read out English comments on stream to try and converse. She's mentioned studying and talking with Oliver as well so I'm going to guess she is still studying just not on stream.

He claims to have beaten the game about a dozen times about a year ago but may need to derust from that. I think he decided to play Hell Mode (disables mercy invincibility and enables the Pact of Punishment early). Hints at a longer stream today.

IDK why most chuubas don't use the designs from their MVs for their new outfits.
Case in point is Reine, Kiara with the "Sparks" one, Gura with the "Q" suit, etc.

I imagine that choosing a new outfit is a weird balancing act between the talent, management and the mama/papa. But if the talent was ok with the design for the MV, I don't see any reason they wouldn't be okay with it for a rig, same with management.
So I guess it's only down to a dick measuring contest between the MV illustrator and the mama/papa, where the latter might not like the outfit or outright won't make their own version/adaptation for a rig because someone else did the design and it's somehow "disrespectful" to them.

2/3 drill hair outfits for ID2. 🤔
