I am very frustrated seeing the anti-fun sentiments of the forum growing.

A diagnosis, if you care. Every time the site gets featured in the news or is trending on Twitter it attracts people who believe what the news and Twitter say about it and find it more appealing than what the site actually is.

I think there should be a way to limit very new posters from posting on certain threads when things get really bad because there's been times where new people come in and act extremely retarded and also dox themselves.

I don't think it would change much in the long term. Retards would just make accounts and leave it be until the restrictions are lifted.
The only solution I see is bullying retards into shape or off the site.

I think that one’s a different problem than most newfags tbf. That’s just because the Archie drama attracted mostly Facebook moms, who are old and do not understand the internet, and so are prone to powerleveling.
