I've def noticed a change from when I joined to more recent times. I made a thread to laugh at creepy old men and pickmes and it's been flooded with incels and their /pol/tard ramblings about the "decadence of the western world" and how "we must return to tradition" and other un-fun shit. Like, I just want to laugh at Dubai porta-potties and their viagra using sponsors. I've noticed with myself and others how the discussion has shifted over the years to laughing at cows and taking things lightly to shiting on each other for internet autism points or whatever.
I miss the fun times.

I noticed weird ire too in the Werner thread of people genuinely upset the government was paying for his medical bills while they had to work hard for a living. Like, yeah, but he's also still homeless, dying of self inflicted health problems, and never going to achieve his dreams due to his own horrible personality. That's hardly a win.

Spring 2020 is when I noticed people were getting way too ass blasted about political opinions. I think Covid broke something in this community, as weird as it sounds. It seems to have made people a lot more paranoid and angry, and assume the worst in anyone with a different opinion. Maybe the timing was just coincidental though, or compounded by the election. I have a lot of thoughts on how this website has evolved over the past 5 years but it's kind of hard to properly organize them.

TLDR; We are all human and people should be judged on a case by case basis, not as a whole.

You can also add 1/6, Russia attacking Ukraine, The Last of Us Part II's leaks and release, and Sri Lanka becoming a failed state, to that list too. And maybe the Canada Truckers and Hong Kong democracy movements getting crushed too.

Negrating the /pol/ kids when they say stupid shit does help, since they also tend to be who actually cares about fake internet stickers.

Wings’ is one of my favorite cows, but he’s proven difficult to discuss here multiple times. The conversation always deviates away from Wings’ and turns into a debate about the ethics, or lack thereof, of the trolls.

I sympathize with you. This is where I get most of my information about Wings since I don’t use Discord and haven’t watched any YouTube compilations in a while (they’ve been boring). That thread has mostly sucked for a very long time though

I would agree that thread should be nuked if it got into "let's do X" territory, but no, nothing of sorts happened there, it just boils down to Null coming there, stating something, getting owned and since he wasn't the one having fun, he locked it and jumped here with a fucking thread about people having fun.
Look, I've been here for 5 years and what KF was back then and what it is now are two different websites, Null did a tremendous job in this regard, but that doesn't mean I would eat his every word, especially when no one in that thread broke any established rules. All of this looks like typical fishing for approval, when one wasn't able to find one.
