Imagine watching Anthony Fantano and thinking you're dunking on Phil. You detractors are unironically bigger lolcows than Phil

this is the one problem i see with this thread alot of times, they pick up on some youtubers or streamers that mocks phil, or narrators over him. like i dont mind TIHYDP's and other edits but people actively going above and beyond to do some pause moment to talk about shit, or just talk over him is goofy af. its some next level media entertainment that only autistics enjoy. t ome its all about knowing his history and reading up on currency events. if you get anymore into it than that, then youre a dumbass who is getting too involved.

i know that sounds assholey and alot do. hell even i did at one point. but im drunk and just speaking my mind now. i only pop on once a day and scroll through highlights and comment here and there. i use to post multiple times everyday, until i realized all im doing is just wasting my time over the same nonsense. now i just like to know whats going on with teh trainwreck rather than talking about and wishing for something to happen. follow the events dont narrate em. is kinda my "self made motto" with the thread. and alot seem to also do this type of style which i feel like is also why this is one of the best kiwifarms threads. dont get too absorbed and trolley with phil, just sit back. watch. observe. laugh.

Sure, except what guys like you hopefully realize is that the detractors who go out of their way to effectively fuck with Phil (bank leaks, WWE Champions, etc.) are what give the observers anything worth actually watching. DSP on boring auto-pilot mode is literal actual unwatchable content.

Now he's stuck with it because clowning for the dents in costume is his only means of engagement. I'm sure he'd love to get rid of the cam and stop showing off Curls 'n Twirls' handiwork.

DSP is a creature of habit, he won't quit using the camera it, even if he hates it, like the whole gaming thing, he hasn't enjoyed a single minute of gaming in the last 5 years at the very least, and WWE only counts towards satisfying a gambling vice, not as vidya.

He will justify it by using some business term stretchered to the limit or down right misusing it, like "brand recognition" or something.

Phil himself is just insufferable with his autistic levels of literalism in order to keep himself from being wrong and absolute refusal to accept criticism from anything but other than when people try to make him mad, he really is about as boring as watching grass grow.

I still really don't get how his brain works with regards to the release cycle. It's like he only thinks people want to see him play shit from large publishers and never any indie games unless he can get them for free. This is in regards to his recent aversion to Cult of the Lamb. The game seems perfect for what he does: he can charge his viewers to become Cultists and customize their appearances and the artstyle is cutesy enough to entertain children. Part of the game is also a "chill" management sim so it seems like it'd fit for his brand of content, however shit it is. Yet he ignores it because it's not a major AAA release (despite the fact that it's got big numbers on all platforms.) Him ignoring Nintendo is at least consistent since he fucking despises them but he seems oddly fixated on which indies he cares about or not.

Maybe it's because the game is about actually building a cult around yourself and that hits too close to home?

Seems like only last week DSP swore he would never mention RTU again. Wait, that was last week and he's talked about the guy every day since.

Wasn't the mortgage due last Fri/Mon? That probably has something to do with the panic. Another foreclosure saga just when his equity vanishes due to the housing collapse would be pretty tight.

Like I said, he has spent himself into being late on legit payments before, and he's likely doing it now more than ever, since his entitlement (and need for some soothing) is at an all-time high.

It really is the worst decision ever, this day-to-day lifestyle of his. Take out the gacha, and he's still needing to beg six days a week, just requiring less money per day. There is a reason he afforded higher taxes before Champions came into his life, after all.

He was mainly forced by "teh fans" because they wanted it for horror games and the like (ironically Dave used to do post-edited in facecam for some John playthroughs and shit like the xbox kinect), naturally, he wanted to downplay his reactions to avoid being a pewdiepie clone at first but now he uses it 24/7 and goes full fucking clown.

For all that we here (rightfully) shit on Wings' trolls and their weird justifications for what they do, they are unified in the single purpose of fucking with Wings. DSP's trolls run the gamut of guys like Nigel with his doxathons and various info leakers, to disgruntled fans who just want Papa Phil to take them back, with tons of gay, autistic infighting that occurs between nominally troll-ish factions. If someone could weaponize even half those spergs, DSP would be trolled into oblivion. Instead, they'd rather restream to staggering viewcount numbers in the low teens or just get their channels nuked.
