But no that's a good point. The Boss was never even an anti-hero, even in the fucked up world of Saints Row with corrupt cops and shitty organizations banking on Stilwater/Steelport being terrible. They don't act for the betterment of society, they're impulsive gang bangers. Trying to pull a "They're actually good" twist especially with gay retard homies drinking mugmosas and whining about paying back student loans is massively tone deaf.

I am not a fan of the Puckish Rogue identity the Boss takes in SRTT/IV, he is not the same guy that would burn a tattoo artists/lead guitarists hand for information then later cave his skull in with a brick, SR2 boss would have handled Matt Miller and Josh Birk differently.

Idk, one of those crazy fan theories is Saint's Row just ends with the 1's betrayal. and starting with 2 is just a coma dream.
Man, the typical generic fan theory but all the shit happened after 3 and 4... makes sense.

I always had this joke theory that 3 was a bad script for a Saints movie, as written by Pierce. That's why Gat gets killed (gotta get back at him for making fun of his heist plans), things get so over the top and the Boss loves Pierce's singing and taste in music all of a sudden.

Like how a sequel to 2018's Tomb Raider also stopped updating in 2021. No panels, no stream, no more announcements. And with Embracer Group also purchasing Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, it'll just be cancelled and not get made. So yea, a Saints Row movie will also never happen.

Yeah, I just finished the Matt Miller fight in SR:TT and all I could think about is how there wasn’t an option to throw him off of virtual cyberspace or whatever. If this was Saints Row 2 the boss would’ve responded to his weapons discounts by saying “you do realize I’m a criminal, right? I can just steal whatever I want” before turning Matt into a vegetable. Also, the Boss takes way too much shit from Kinzie and nu-Shaundi. I’m still waiting for the moment he tells both of them to fuck off but I’m afraid that doesn’t happen in the story.

I'm hoping Saints Row flops hard, especially given that even Embracer Group has no hope for it. Saudi Arabia is purchasing 6% of the company later on and Embracer would use the IP as much until years later while the nu-boot will be trapped in bargain bin thrift stores.

Kinzie Kinsington had no real role in the Saints if Shaundi had her old personality with her hundreds of connections and hacking abilities, most I see defending it is "people change" and she "sobered up." Acting like a cunt during the intro bank heist was too drastic of a change, especially from a mellow personality like that, remember the exchange when the MC assigned her the Sons of Samedi? Kinzie was definitely favored over Shaundi in SRIV, Gat out of Hell, and Agents of Mayhem.

I've seen discussions (someone's head canon) about her using Image As Designed to improve her looks, Fun Shaundi would stick out in that Power trailer.

I'm not sure how true this is, but I've heard rumors that nu-Shaundi was supposed to be a different character while the real Shaundi was doing some sort of dating show in Stilwater, however due to THQ's financial issues and time constraints this was cut out and this new character was just haphazardly made into Shaundi.
