So the biggest bunches of crap.Monday.com, Grammarly and heaps of scam ads for Chinese flame-throwing drones and crypto trading scams.
Ads definitely appear while using the YouTube app on a Roku. There's no way to block them unless one gets YouTube Premium.Do ads show up in YT videos playing through other sites if one doesn't have an adblocker?
An old trick for age restricted video(for those that don't want to log in or get an account) was to embed the video, as an example, here on the farms it would be done by putting it in "media" tags and push preview so it's embedded in the preview of the post and play it from there. Some videos refuse to play embedded and force you to watch on youtube.com.
Google's rules change on the daily so I can only saw what I've observed.
Wasn't there a wave of unbans immediately after Musk signed? There was speculation it was Twitter cleaning house and hiding some of the more blatentent abuse of their mods.Did anyone notice any changes on twitter after Musk started talking about the buyout?
I've noticed that old.reddit.com sometimes redirects to the new Reddit at random times. Teddit has subscriptions and stops me from ever becoming a "redditor", so a double win.I just use old.reddit.com
You can fix this by blocking cookies on YouTube. You'll stay logged out even if you use a Google Account on another site and your recommendations will stay generic, which is still dumb, but you can block the recommendations themselves if you really want to.God, resting your cursor on your home page over a video not only registers this video as watched, adds it to your watch history and the algorithm considers you interested and will recommend you similar stuff.
My YT feed is now full of Simpsons/Family Guy 10 seconds clips because of this; or videos that I have already seen or am completely not interested in watching.
Its completely busted, and not just for globohomo content, I don't see the point of youtube having these "features" if they don't fucking work. There's still vids on "equity" and other race-related SJW-y vids that show up in recommended vids, no matter how many times I click "don't recommend" or "not interested".
At least it does work somewhat. For example, I blocked "SSSniperWolf" results, and I don't see recommended videos from that channel anymore, even though videos by her always show up on the front page (if one isn't signed in with Google). And after blocking news channels, I normally don't see news channels anymore. But that race-related "identity politics" stuff just keeps popping up.I don't see the point of youtube having these "features" if they don't fucking work.

The woke cult more or less runs the Western corporate world, so they gotta push The Narrative™ of the cult to try to woke the world.they will repeatedly, shamelessly spam you with 'Get the facts about COVID-19!' / 'It's pride month!' / 'Feminist issues!' / 'Black Lives Matter!'
On top of which, they don't do anything to inform creators about useful features, either. Community posts only really took off after The Spiffing Brit did a set of videos about exploiting them for large amounts of money. Until then, it was rare to see even one on the home page. What's odd to me is they will repeatedly, shamelessly spam you with 'Get the facts about COVID-19!' / 'It's pride month!' / 'Feminist issues!' / 'Black Lives Matter!' but I have yet to see them use that huge in your face banner and recommended videos list for anything I (and presumably most other people) give half a shit about.
It's so cool how you can PM people on YouTube. On top of which, they don't do anything to inform creators about useful features, either. Community posts only really took off after The Spiffing Brit did a set of videos about exploiting them for large amounts of money. Until then, it was rare to see even one on the home page.
This is the problem the chocolate factory has across its entire product range; they have good features that they either refuse to promote, or that they do promote and then cripple in order to push a specific, politically biased message.
Found a site that's just like going back in time to '00s YouTube:
VidLii - Display Yourself
there's even the first YT vid there too: Me at the zoo - VidLii
At least "VidLii" kind of feels like old YT. But since the site is very obscure, there's not anywhere near as much content as YT.
They definitely don't enforce strict "Community Guidelines" like YT does.[wat]
