I don't think Volition will just can season pass content. That would just ruin them further. If anything, I'm betting that Volition is still under contract work to do DLC as we speak.
Ubisoft sort of did that with Assassin's Creed Unity, making its Dead Kings expansion free to make up for the game's broken launch.

Knowing how modern devs work they probably already have huge chunks of DLC done, working on it at the same time as the main game. They'll squeeze out some shitty missions packs like from SR3/4 that will be full of fanservice and that'll be it.

Steve Urkel II does look incredibly fucking stupid and is a massive pussy, but he's the lesser of two evils as far as the shirtless douchebag is concerned.
