"Dwarfs looks fun, elf lady smokin' hot. I'm not 14 year old." - Robert Chipman.
Aside from his pea-brained take on why he's dismissing all criticism, I'd like to point out the stupidity of his elevator pitch: "So what was the deal with all those other rings?"
We already know the deal, you fucking moron, Tolkien spelled it out in his writings. The Nine Rings corrupted the kings of men that wore them into Nazgûl, the Seven Rings made their dwarven bearers greedier and were either recovered by Sauron or eaten by dragons, and the Three Rings were used by the elves (and Gandalf) to safeguard their people. That's it, that's the entire story of the rings. They're a key part of the story, no doubt, but there's not much of a narrative around the rings themselves to tell, and certainly not enough to make an entire series around. Furthermore, just because there isn't much of a story there doesn't mean that Amazon needs to make up one whole cloth, because it's
not a story that needs to be told.
I swear, Bob is such a retard, I wonder constantly why anyone would listen to any of his takes.
Snyder Cut fans = Trumpsters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I see it, Snyder fans were made fun of first by people like Bob who insisted that the Snyder Cut never existed, and even if it did it would never see the light of day. Now they're slinging that shit right back at people getting mad that
their movie seemingly isn't going to appear. I think that's entirely justified schadenfreude, personally, a little bit of "see how much it stings when megacorps take a dump in your cornflakes?"
I have no dog in this fight, both sides have their mix of people making good points and complete tards. But shit like this, continuing to instigate and inflame tensions between both sides? That isn't going to make it stop.
I don't think Robert thinks it's great either, to be honest, I don't think he has much of a opinion on this show besides "the bad guys don't like it" so he keeps this blase attitude around it "oh lighthen up manbabies, who cares "da lore", go outside and kiss girls (or boys)".
That's pretty much how Robert operates in current year, depending on who likes what and for whatever reasons that may be, Robert will react accordingly, and it doesn't even have to be movies.
I was thinking about this in the car the other day; I don't know how or why my mind went to Bob, and I'm concerned it might be a sign of my own deteriorating mental state. But setting that aside for now, Bob really is nothing more than a contrarian. In his mind, if he deems you as evil, then it doesn't matter what your personal opinions or beliefs are, they're automatically wrong and evil and he needs to take the opposite stance because he's good and pure.
Oh, I remember what I was thinking about, it was the Peter Coffin tweet where he was quoting the WEF psychopath that out and out said he wanted to exterminate 7.5 billion people because "we just don't need you." A normal person hears that and rightly says "what the fuck, this is insane." I don't consider Peter normal, I think he's a retarded commie, but even he's smart enough to understand just how psychotic that kind of sentiment is.
Bob's response? "No, he's not crazy because all the evil people that we're subsidizing the existence of will be killed off, and only the good people like myself will remain."
It's like, how retarded do you have to be to make Peter Coffin look intelligent? That retarded, apparently.
