HELLO. I am someone who has taken the drug Lupron depot, which currently the main hormone blocker given to actual children. I am not transgender, but I was given this medicine as a treatment for the disease I suffer from (endometriosis). It is a NIGHTMARE

When I was about 20, after years of misdiagnosis, my disease was finally identified. I was involved in a number of therapies I don't think I can legally disclose, although the Violet study was one that I can disclose. Yes, I was treated with Lupron.

The reality is that even though this drug cured me - and even though it can wear off over time, it did not for me. I am extremely lucky. BUT, this is not a fun drug. You go through simulated menopause, that means bone density loss, hot flashes, and osteoporosis.

I tripped off a small 6in curb and shattered my foot while I was on this drug. This is a drug they want to give to kids. No. I HAVE TAKEN THRIS DRUG. You can lie to everyone on Earth, but you cannot lie to me. I TOOK IT. It is a crazy drug and they want to give it to children.

It took TEN YEARS for me to be able to get these treatments because I have a stupid extreme form of this horrible disease, but that, ultimately is better, for as horrible as my life was without treatment, versus the current transgender treatment program.

I imagine the reaction from the activists towards this REALITY from someone who as BEEN ON THE DRUG YOU SHILL, is that I'm a Nazi or whatever - I am not. I am a libertarian dingus, but I have actually taken this drug and it is NOT COOL

My God, if you had any idea how serious of a drug Lupron Depot is, you would not recommend it to your worst enemy. I am so incredibly lucky that it even worked to treat my genetic disease - why on God's green Earth would you tell kids to take it? Oh, I know, politics.

Lupron, triptorelin and all the sinilar compounds will go down in history as one of those awful ‘mistakes’ science and medicine makes. The makers had a drug and when they couldn’t get enough money from men with end stage prostate cancer from it they started trying to pressure off label and other indications. So endometriosis- it’s been pushed for that. And precocious puberty, which it got licences for. But also as a part of IVF cycles.
Everyone who has developed, licenced, fraudulently marketed and pushed this drug needs to be put in jail for the rest of their lives.

A UTI when you’re young is nasty but fixable. UTIs in older people kill. This structure isn’t going to get better. There is no more revision work that can be done. There’s a tube of scar tissue that’s narrow and it wants to heal. She is never going to be able to pee normally unless she takes the phallo off. She is going to end up on antibiotics for life, getting worse and worse infections until one backs up into a kidney and makes her very, very Ill. By that point she will be brewing multi drug resistant bacteria like a boss.
Nobody seems to tell these girls that you cannot just build a Willy and plumb it in. A urethra is a specialised tissue, and the female one is short. Making a urethra is not easy. As the body tries to heal an amhole the body tries to heal a fake urethra. It should be there.
UTIs and fistulas were something I hadn’t even thought of before I saw this thread but it’s striking how many FTMs have them. Some of the x Ray shots of the fistulas are terrible.
