Two reasons: First, she wants to get monetization first. She used to do the karaoke per stream like Shiina did, and then she cut it to appease Susan just like Shiina. Second, she's a bloody perfectionist. She rewatches all of her VODs the next day to see what she can improve on and scan chat to see what she missed. And she said for the karaoke stream she practiced all her songs twice the day of, so by the time the stream was over her voice was absolutely destroyed.
We actually got this dispelled in one of her Twitter Spaces. She became of fan of vTubers thanks to Niji-EN, and wanted to try doing it herself. She basically made it seem like her social life is nonexistent thanks to her job, so this was a means for her to have fun and be social with other people. Shiina and Airi were completely unaware of each other's existence until the first group Voice Call meeting when they started chatting and realized they'd met and were friends from 10 years past. They had lost track of each other until that point, so a totally happy coincidence.
Exactly this. You can't build a successful vTuber company on only the same streamer architypes. Phase wouldn't grow if it was only Lia and Pippa, Hololive wouldn't grow if they only had Pekora, and Niji-En wouldn't grow if they only had Pomu. You need a diverse cast of characters in order to branch out to others beyond. I've seen a few people in the PC discord pop into Airi's channel and say they got recommended her Dark Souls streams, and they ended up discovering the rest of Phase through her. So it's not like she's a detriment to the company or anything.
It's crazy how even though they were later to the party than a few others, Phase has really ended up at the top of the English Small Corpo world. Even Prism with their Sony money and algorithm feeding monster Shiki Miyoshino is lagging behind Pippa's recent metrics.

Give her a few months of this growth and Pippa might be the Queen of the small corpo world (unintentionally).
