Matthew Prince lied.

Who knows, the Canadian government might thank us when they need to make a legal case against him in the upcoming months.
Even if KF sends them 1080p videos which would be used to arrest Lucas of warcrimes, the Canadian govt are never gonna say 'thank you' to kiwifarms. Remember, we're the "far-right, white supremacist nazis." Being right doesn't suddenly wash that away in those govts' eyes.

It's sad, but these events are simply an example of a strategy that's proven time and again in order to "deplatform hate":

- Create false flag threats of violence or other AUP-violating content on the forum you want to attack.
- Enraged activists identify a weak point in the forum's tech stack that allows a third-party deplatforming to be disruptive. They then create a public attack campaign against that company that will only cease when the deplatforming occurs, pointing to the false flag attacks as their primary justification for demanding immediate action.
- A sympathetic media treats the false flags as not only valid, but as a defining quality of the forum and perhaps its only real purpose. This puts a lot of PR pressure on the targeted company to stop defending the indefensible, and if they affirm that the target is operating within AUP then they are subjected to an initial wave of media criticism that will create long-term brand damage. From a pure bottom-line perspective this is likely not an acceptable risk to a company's finances even if the arguments are meritless.
- Additionally, the activists try to sow internal pressure with sympathetic employees that threaten operational efficiency if the deplatforming doesn't occur.

This is what we've seen and will continue to see because it works. As others speculate, I'm going to guess that Prince faced an internal revolt over KF and just caved to the pressure.

Oddly, one thing I haven't seen discussed much about Prince's post is that if taken seriously it implies that if no legal action is taken against KF then Cloudflare would resume service. I don't expect this to actually happen but I wonder if this will ever be addressed. Pro-deplatforming voices have used the argument that utilities like CF need to start moderating because the law is too slow/stupid to stop bad actors and apparently Prince agrees in exceptional cases. But unless he thinks this "exceptional case" represents the norm on KF then the argument for discontinuing service is transitory. If he does think it's the norm then per his own arguments about due process Cloudflare should explain why this is the case and why a line can be drawn for KF that applies to no other websites.

His statement was really fucking weird. Especially because he expresses the fact that blocking KF might actually make the problem worse and that blocking us is not a real solution. I hope you are right about it being a massive misunderstanding null. To imply that we are a community made for actual Neo Nazis pedophiles like the Daily Stormer or that Nulls moderation practices are so irresponsible that tangible threats to massacre people go unnoticed like 8chan is ridiculous and either comes from a place of true ignorance of what this community is or is malicious misrepresentation.

It seems so fucking weired to me that Prince would kick KF off their service after making such a strong statement in favor of KF just a few days earlier. It doesn't make any sence at all. You would think he made up his mind when he released his first statement and was aware of the backlash he might get.
He 100% sides with free speech but then got a call with an ultimatum from a shareholder/board member and had to absolutely scramble to find any reason to block the site. It's so flagrantly unprincipled as to be real.

So I guess it's fine to ignore the burning houses based on their owners' morality, huh Matthew?

The state of free Internet and free speech in general is absolutely sad right now. Terrorism works again, and any kind of liberties die with the thunderous applause of people who think they are on the right side of history. In fact, it's probably not even just that. I don't think most of these people even care about the precedents that are being made, they just want an Internet daddy.

Buy land, buy a house, make sure you own something and preferably make it as fireproof as possible, because next thing you know, trannies will harass the fire department to not respond to anything from people they cancel on twitter.

I'm pretty sure their entire statement was full of lies.
It's been surreal watching this playout in real time and being intimate with the subject matter. From Byuu(alive btw) until now, watching every pozzed journoscum run hit piece bullshit article after article wholesale straight from the troon's mouths, has been infuriating. I fully understand now why Null refuses to interact with the media at all.

Now that Cloudflare has made it clear that it's now their responsibility to protect people from threats of violence they should be held accountable for literally every site that uses their services where someone posts threats of violence/terrorism.

Next time an incel shoots a school and posts about it on 4chan please I urge all the families of the victims to sue Matthew Princess and Cloudflare for enabling them to do so.
I got a better one.
The film industry keeps complaining about pirates and has been on Cloudflare's tail ever since The Daily Stormer got "das boot". I wonder when Cloudflare will start accepting MPAA and RIAA's requests?

So all you have to do to get a website blocked is make an account and fedpost? This reminds me of people on Reddit posting illegal shit to get subreddits banned. I'm sure this policy doesn't apply to large websites but only smaller communities. It seems like a copout by Cloudflare to me, I mean they know everyone is aligned against the website so why wouldn't they be doing gayops to make it look bad? By taking the bait they have emboldened criminals to make threads against people's lives to get things they don't like blocked. It's not enough to have explicit rules against all of these things and actively enforce it, instead you have to pre-emptively moderate posts before they're seen to prevent a drive-by post and screenshot/archive. Two days ago it was "we won't take anyone down without legal intervention and we won't ever repeat 8chan/Daily Stormer" and now it's a complete 180. How can section 230 survive when no one wants to honor the meaning behind it?

I am going to fuck Matthew Prince's wife tonight. I will steal his wife from him and make her cum, which hasn't happened in years now because of Matthew Prince's micropenis and shriveled balls.

This is an imminent and credible threat on your wife's pussy. Too bad you can't block my penis like you did with the site, you cuckold.
