Believe it or not, there was once a time when you could have fun on that site without endless handwringing over what's problematic or catching bans for not agreeing in the right way.

Oh, i have no problem to believe that, what i don't understand is how the site even retains users nowadays when even the most harmless statement nets you a monthslong ban. Is the Stockholm syndrome so pronounced in the current userbase that they really wait out their ban time and then continue to post? I can't think of a single site were the mod abuse is as bad as on there, surely there must be other online communities were discussing TTRPG shit is at least somewhat fun.

I've just assumed that it was an combination of current year politics and that nearly all of the mods are SJWS.

Yeah because I'm sure there's SO MANY American Indian game design studios. And like the banned poster said, even if there was, would they really do a good job of representing all the other cultures outside of their own?

Ever since Save-vs-DM died a few months ago, seems like all the other mods have really cranked up the knee-jerk defensiveness over anything indigenous-related.

It doesn't seem like they even discuss games at all anymore, anywhere, unless it's to circlejerk over shit being "problematic".

Absolutely not. Some of the individual members are fairly plugged in to internet happenings but the forum as a whole is about as aware as CNN or MSNBC.
