Poa.st is trash

The telegram chat apparently had more loli and anime spam then poast, graf also explicitly banned loli so, I think the degeneracy is actually coming from inside the house and farmers' inability to work together to weed it out, and endless infighting, will be a deliberate encumbrance on the site until it dies. This is by design, the people who want this site taken down are very crafty and patient and have worked their way into groups all over the Internet.

edit: Also, Kiwi Farms isn't a big chungus cock vore site just because SIG would post big chungus cock vore, just like Vetti using the term "cunny" repeatedly, both these users got banned, there are fucked up people all over the Internet saying they're your friend while you're awake and then destroying your things behind your back, that is inevitable.

I don't totally agree with how poa.st is moderated, but I don't blame it on any sort of malice. They've had a history of journoscum coming in and explicitly trying to dox their users, a couple of times successfully. They want to discourage a culture of "doxing for fun" like KF has because there's a very serious possibility that journos will latch onto that and start destroying peoples lives because that's why they exist. That's happened to a few users already who aren't careful.

It's definitely easier to get banned off poast than most places. They are extremely up front that they are "not a free speech instance". If they determine you're shitting up the site, you'll get kicked off. The good news is that because of the way the fediverse works, getting banned isn't anywhere near as big of a deal as it is on twitter, gab or parler. You can just join somewhere else and keep interacting with the friends you made on poa.st.

If you get defedded, that's different, but there's only a couple of ways to get defedded from poast, the biggest one being dox materials. My advice is to keep it on your pants. A lot of instances will defed you for dox, not just poast. Kiwis forget that KF is almost completely unique in being okay with dox.

A zoomed in jpeg of a nose isn't dox and that's what graf is freaking out about. I'd understand if people were posting names, addresses, SSNs, etc. but iirc the jpeg was sourced from Google, the guy claims it isn't his wife and the emote was heavily cropped.

I think at the time graf actually claimed dox was illegal as a justification and Josh called him out for being full of shit.

The real issue is WHOS nose it is. Its not doxxing, its that it embarrasses one of Grafs "star users" Borzoi. A large amount of Grafs paypings are the TRS/NJP retards and he cant afford to piss them off so he does whatever they tell him.

"Doxx materials" is the "AR means Assault Rifle" style talking point for chuds. Taking an image from Google is not doxxing. Taking images from public Facebooks is not doxxing. There is no such thing as "doxx materials".

No, but it's akin to holding your finger half an inch from someones face and saying "I'm not touching you". It was made to intentionally piss him off. I don't have an opinion on if it's right or wrong because I really don't care, but it's obviously inflammatory.

If you go out of your way to piss off the admin of a site, what do you think is going to happen?

That doesn't comport with half the threads I was reading suddenly not having half the posts in them and being littered with "this poast is not available" messages to the point the threads made no sense any more.

Yeah, and the other one is to just annoy graf. Which is fine as grounds for banning on his own instance, but to decide that nobody on the instance is allowed to follow you either is just petty.

Cog got defedded because he told graf he shouldn't use Gondola in the default PFP since he's a take on Pedobear and Poast already had a perception of being pedo-friendly. I like Cog's streams but I still think that's a retarded take, but it had nothing to do with doxing, and if graf didn't want to see it, he could have just blocked Cog individually.
