I'm just glad Casesy Casem isn't here to see this...or joe ruby, ken spears and especially the big two Hanna Barbara. Actually why does it feel like they were waiting and I mean. rubbing their talons together waiting for everyone involved with the og scooby doo including ruby speares to pull this off? it really does feel like one last push to truly spit on the graves of men far more creative and imaginative than the hacks working in animation now.
A lot changes in a decade loot at how different a photo from 1950 to 1960 looks...or any two decades for that matter. Logic says the change is always for the better logic is such a liar....wait why is johnny test there? wasn't he originally a Canadian cartoon produced for teletoon, was the last show broadcast on kids wb then given a second life on cartoon network but as an import? He was never an original CN show.
Well I'm being too much a negative nancy in order to hopefully lift everyones spirits here's the original 1940s Superman cartoon from the Fleischer brothers.
Keep in mind this was just 4 years after Snow White and one year after Pinocchio and the same year as Fantasia. The Fleischer brothers just a decade before were best known for Betty Boop, Popeye, and simple short black and white cartoons usually meant to serve as animated music videos for jazz tunes. Yet with half the budget of Disney, but still several times what they had before they made Superman shorts that rivaled even Disney's finest work.

Velma being gay for “gay’s sake” is just proof that they would never get away with doing this to Daphne. If they made a spin off of her, she would love to have Velma as a sidekick and tell her to knock off that girl power, LGBTQ+ pin nonsense.
The only reason (and insulting reason) why they do this to Velma is because they secretly see her as the weakest link in the Scooby-Doo crew.

They made Velma gay (her falling for a very mid black girl with problem glasses is a bit on the nose) and probably expected to get buzz from a backlash but it seems like mostly no one cares
All of the characters have the classic designs and then there's the weird OC, who looks like something someone posted to their personal art Tumblr.
From this screenshot you can predict a black eye in Velma's future, along with frenzied weeping and recriminations and items being thrown around and at her in a living room.
Anyways, certain people went into children's programming specifically to do this sort of thing. Bit weird!

Bfc her "girlfriend " had to be a darkie (but not too dark) it's ALWAYS a fucking jungle bunny in nu animation. Especially one with danger hair and big glasses because that's the kind of tumblr tard they keep hiring for "diversity" in studios these days. I'm surprised they didn't make her fat too.

Well, at the end of the movie, Daphne thinks she should be the leader and Fred just tells her that she's always been the leader, while his job is to just drive the van. Which was honestly very stupid.
But I totally agree with you. The reason why they keep putting female characters like Daphne & Velma in more promising roles is because they view them as the weakest links.

More like a contracted regular season. Weirdly enough, both it and Amphibia start their third season in the human world. They were already pretty similar from a story telling angle, but this is ridiculous.

No gives a shit about Velma being gay. The reason most people don’t like these shows and movies is because the characters and plot suck.
