That reminds me, the complete butchering of member goals is another way that Phil has shot himself in the foot, however it won’t become apparent just yet. The problem is that the only membership goals he can stick to now are react “events” and other “marathon” streams. The Divinity Original Sin 2 scam has put Viewer’s Choice into question because it means that any “boring” Viewer’s Choice playthrough can be ended if OIC whales hard enough and tells Phil to stop playing. Retrospectives, as atrocious as they were, can’t even happen anymore because Phil completely exhausted the possibilities by banning “controversial” videos and spamming this “event” in the past. (However, I would like to see this event happen one more time just so that he has to deal with trolls telling him to watch the WWE Champions Daily Wrap.) The biggest problem is that Phil is completely out of ideas for member goals and will likely continue to alternate between gaming marathons, react “events,” and Viewer’s Choice for the remainder of his streaming days because playing with viewers is a last resort reserved for when the game is as dead as Capcom Fighting Collection.
Difference is Phil attempts to put on the persona as a guy who isn't fucked up.

I'm sure he could've picked far less morbid videos while still on the Rob Gavagan channel too. If you go by what Phil says it's Rob himself recommending certain videos, so naturally he's gonna choose the ones that he feels are the most shocking. It's also Slayer's fault for suggesting this channel and this type of content to begin with, he really is just a slightly more advanced Derich. Could've gone with a theme of only ghost stories/paranormal shit but no, let's turn true crime into a "silly" Halloween event.
