My partner has been more into following this and he told me that apparently she spent 16 hours the last time she voiced Bayo recording all of her lines and now she feels that she's being low balled when they offered her $4k

Dunno how accurate all of that is but that's what I was told.

Would be nice to make 4k for two days of work lmao

Yup, all true. She said she spent “four 4 hour sessions” voicing bayonetta. That’s 4 days and only 4 hours each day. Someone who gets an hourly pay of $40 still only makes $640 in 16 hours. Your average part-timer will work longer than her and still only make $200 in 16 hours.

I find it excessively hard to support the actress when she calls for boycott on a game, it's just about the most entitled viewpoint imaginable that fucks over hundreds of people for her sake. Thankfully the act will blacklist her from every VA job ever.
As for the paycheck, 4k for 16 hours is not little money and it's not the devs jobs to fund the actress yearly expenditure, if she was at least a celebrity then she could claim some intrinsic value but pretty much every british whore would have sufficed as a VA (I don't think we ever hear her display an emotion that isn't being haughty).

I hope Platinum goes the extra mile and patches out her voice and replace it with the new VA, after all she needs the money.

Are you allowed to make basically audio porn as a character you officially voice? I have the odd feeling that'd go against contract somehow. Otherwise more VAs would do that and make mad money.

You'd be surprise what VAs will make their characters say for money.

Saying things at cons for money is how VAs have made money from the start.

Bayo's natural lines are pretty much audio porn…can't stop her repeating a line to someone.

I was thinking more if they would even be allowed. I know there are some odd contracts involved with some voice actors. Like I think somehow Nickelodeon owns the rights to SpongeBob's voice, however that works. Like I said, I've just never heard of a VA making audio porn for cash which would be some easy money. I know desperate guys would pay hundreds for the waifu of the month to say all sorts of depraved shit.
