I think Musk should implement a super like or Reddit gold type of thing. There are so many simps who follow thots and literal pornstars and they’d dump millions to have their likes and comments show up in front. It would also make it easier for us to find the best coomer milk.

My brain immediately said "Champion", because then you can call on people to Champion a tweet, and bump it up based on those. Literally crowd sourced paid promotion. Its the perfect mix of simping, wording, financial nightmare, and dystopian corporatism.
Why are you sperging about this? He wore a halloween costume, oh no. We're not gonna start railing on D&D next are we? There are bigger and more clear fish to fry.
Is Starlink its own Tier 1 provider? It doesn't matter how sympathetic a downstream ISP is to the Farms, if the upstream wants you gone then you're gone. There are only about 15 Tier 1s on the entire Internet, and KF has been banned from at least 4 of them (at least as far as I can tell from Null's posts about the recent troubles that have besieged the Farms over the past couple of months).
Now if Elon bought or started his own Tier 1 provider, that would be a different story.
I'll bet my reputation that dead-naming and misgendereding will not be allowed on Twitter. Musk has no way to justify allowing users to harass and bully transgenders. If one of those people commits suicide then his platform will be attacked. He will be under the same pressure to conform as Jack Dorsey.
One of the biggest motivators of him buying Twitter was the banning of Babylon Bee for misgendering that fat ugly military dude.
Harassment and bullying should be against the TOS, but it should be applied to everyone. Currently you can be banned for poking fun at the mentioned above but some roid'ed out fag can use Twitter to sell bath salts to underage kids with impunity.
Harassing people is no good. Someone specifically going to your own feed and trying to find something for them to be upset about is not harassment and is part of the curation model that Musk has been spitballing.
I wasn't exactly convinced there was some shadowy plan going on in today's current year politics. No, I'm utterly convinced everything is happening by pure stupidity. There's no grand master plan to do anything, it's just stupid people doing stupid things. Twitter could've easily released Elon Musk from the contract and while they would have the stigma of bots, the Democratic establishment, allegedly, could withhold the entire site and still operate it as normal. Granted it would bleed money probably, but other democratic sympathizing companies like Blackrock would probably bail it out. No, they press forward with it under the assumption this would ruin Elon Musk or maybe give the twitter higher ups an easy way out. Or maybe people pressured Elon into sealing the deal so that Elon could do what he's doing right now.
I don't know, but all I know is this was probably easily the stupidest decision ever made this year and probably for the decade to come because now the establishment has unintentionally painted themselves into a tighter corner. They can't bleed it out and seize it and reform it because that will confirm what everyone suspected of twitter before. They can't just buy it out right and bail Elon out because then people who support the establishment would be unhappy. So what do they do in this situation that's subtle and carefully planned? Nothing. They can't do anything with their golden goose now because as a direct consequence of their actions Twitter is in the hands of essentially a rebel.
Unless they plan on changing things through force and through blatant manipulation, this is essentially a lose-lose situation. Twitter can bleed out and die and Elon acquires a debt that he may or may not recover from, but what did the populace of America and the world just witness at the end of it all? That everything we suspected about the modern day internet and social media was correct all along?
In all practical reality have twitter rules actually been relaxed? I submitted a ban appeal but it was rejected, I'm pretty sure people are still being suspended and so far nobody has been unsuspended, maybe I need to wait a few months but right now everyone is just pretending twitter is legitimately different from how it was previously.
I wonder if this caused Tumblr to allow porn again. The main reason so many people switched to twitter was because NSFW content was banned- so now that twitter is a ''''''''lawless hellscape''''' tumblr realized it could sweep people back up by allowing nipples.
Coinbase and Basecamp ran into this exact controversy when they banned politics in company coms. People said the same shit you are bringing up. Everyone forgot about it in a few weeks.
Noone is going to blackball you. There is no industry blacklist. Noone faces social alienation. Interviewers go through mandatory interview training where they specifically tell you to not look up people's social media, not judge people's work history based on ideology etc. Your coworkers are your peers and they understand that even if you work for a company they don't agree with, it doesn't mean that you believe the same as company. They understand that you are a person who needs a job to live.
No they don't. You don't work in tech. If you did, you would realize how ridiculous this sounded.
Right here. Coinbase says they will remove content if their partners ask them to do so. They say that they can't afford to be kicked off these services. Twitter and Kiwi Farms and everyone has this exact same problem.
Finally, there are cases where we want to work with external partners, such as the App Stores, and need to follow their moderation policies to do so. Sometimes third party payment providers have their own policies. For payment providers, we can simply disable functionality related to that partner if there is a problem with a specific user, while continuing to offer Coinbase services. But getting kicked out of the app stores wouldn’t help anyone. So when working with partners, our approach is to be free speech supporters, but not free speech martyrs, and to make accommodations if it is essential for us to function as a business.
Why is there a lot of "even when you win, you lose" doomposting?
No Elon is not going to allow you to skitz post NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER KIKE KIKE KIKE at everyone. That should be common fucking sense. What he means and has said repeatedly that you should not be banned for disagreeing with the faggot leftists. And not playing their pronoun game bullshit. Of course your "ironic" nazi posting is going to get ban hammered. Mostly because normies find that shit repulsive. Normies are the ones who keep social media alive. If you really think faggots from both sides of the politcal spectrum keep sites alive you are mistaken. They don't get the "ironic" /pol/ posting. They just see some random, going on about Jews and niggers when all they want to talk about is the football. So they hit the report button.
There is no difference between between calling someone a nigger, a kike or a troon. If the formers are wrong because they're mean or whatever then that same logic will apply to the later. Many normies already think that attacking transpeople is revolting just like you find attacking blacks revolting.

You're right that there is no conspiracy just stupidity but wrong that this is a lose-lose situation. Elon will takeover Twitter. He'll relax the rules to Fox News and The Blaze-tier. He'll gain users from Parler and Gab and Truth. He'll increase profit by charging for blue checkmarks. Overall only the super extreme far-lefts will be triggered but everyone else will tolerate this as the new norm because it's the same as mainstream politics.
What will be interesting to see is how Elon handles censoring people who against the US Imperial War narratives on issues like Ukraine and Taiwan. Will he allow people to openly criticize the narrative? If so that actually would be a big change.
You're lucky, my main account which got banned in the Nick Fuentes wave like a year ago (because I pressed follow on one of his burners) has not even been given an actual response. It's just there, in limbo, for Platform Manipulation and Spam, and no human will look at it.
Because of the long period of inactivity and ignored appeals, the case was stealthily closed, which I only discovered as I tried submitting yet another appeal after Elon took over.
Instead, I had to open a new appeals case.
The trannies at Twitter's mod team won't let go of their power and they will not let go of making chuds irrelevant through suspensions and shadownbans either.
And when a large chud cries about it publicly, they'll just put Elon in the front of a situation such as "here's this guy that posted about black crime 49 times and 30 times he complained about police arresting some far right dude, 60 times he mocked women PoC journalists and he intentionally misgenders transgender folx".
And Elon will have to say in public that all that should be allowed.
Yep, and like HHH, I think they're bit of a troll. Lots of users are left leaning but I seriously doubt there's any user left on this site that's going to sneed unironically at less censorship on Twitter. It's too retarded - my suspension of disbelief is broken.
The people that actually hold this position will only make fedposts on this site and then tweet about it to ISPs.
I don't know how familiar anyone is with modern Musk's antics, but you cannot believe anything this man says at this point. The more I've learned about the guy the more it seems like at this point his job has become trying to larp as Tony Stark to impress child-minded idiots who think Tony Stark could be a real thing.
- He was going to revolutionize transport with hyperloop, trains hovering like air-hocky pucks in a huge vacuum tube. This was such a clown show I can't even fit it here. Eventually it morphed into chauffeurs manually driving tesla cars single file down tunnels from station to station at about 30mph. Currently operational in Las Vegas, paid for by Nevada taxpayers.
- He's going to put them underground by digging tunnels faster and cheaper than anyone else ever with his Boring company (he did it at the same rate for the same price).
- SpaceEx will have people on Mars by 2024 (although the deadlines for all these things are constantly shifting back as they fail to materialize)
- SpaceEx will use cheaper, reusable rockets to the point a ticket to space would cost $100k or less (only one part of the rocket is reusable, and despite government contracts SpaceEx rockets are actually more expensive to make and launch than the older ones, because reusable rockets aren't actually that great an idea)
- He created an entire fake housing development to show off his completely impractical solar roofs, while pretending this was already a thing he was doing.
- He's going to create electric 18 wheelers that will be more efficient than rail he can do it right now in fact (back in 2019)
- He's going to make robots that replace human workers any day now but they have to use super-edited videos to show their embarrassing performance
Idk if most people know that back in 2018 he was removed as chairman of Tesla because he was convicted of securities fraud.
I don't know if he was always full of it or if he used to buy into his own hype, but at this point the guy's on the level of a used car salesman and he knows it. Like I've said from the beginning, this might cause idiots on Twitter to chimp out because they like doing that, but don't expect a glorified hype man to actually do anything of any consequence.
See, the thing is that as far as I'm aware blue checkmarks already ARE increasingly paid.
They aren't literally, but here:
The TL;DR is that there is no longer a direct public means of verification, because nowadays it's more or less a commodity used to encourage people to spend money on ads or generally buddy up with Twitter, and has been correlated with increase in Twitter stock prices.
Basically if Twitter hadn't sold out years ago and became a paid mouthpiece for corporations and the media, they would've folded.
The internet is a fundamentally a corporate medium and nobody will ever do anything to change that, Musk's just doing the usual by self-aggrandizing and making completely outlandish claims with no concern for reality. If Twitter started offering verification to anyone, it would go out of business.
I'm seeing a lot of "Things he tried to do but failed".
Which bodes well here, so not sure what your point is. Worst case scenario, he fails here again and twitter crashes and burns which is -still- a net win in my book.
i'm pretty sure that their bans and suspensions are at least 99% automated, based on parsing tweets for naughty words and phrases, and probably also on report volume, so if a couple dozen simps report you for insulting their queen, it might simply trigger an automatic temporary suspension regardless of what you did or did not say
Almost entirely automated and nothing has actually changed yet on policy or the backend. All we have coming out of it is a series of mildly-conflicting information by people 'in the know', no confirmation by Elon of anything but paying for bluechecks, and the knowledge that twitter staff are locked out of making new changes.
Personally, my bet is we won't see any changes until at least another week, possibly a month. So everyone trying to appeal their stuff now or expecting different moderation are being massively premature. Musk has to have time to wrangle Twitter into something he even can get an overview on, let alone actually start implementing changes. And no doubt he is receiving tons of resistance to even basic inquiries even now that he officially owns it.
Which kinda sucks from a lolcow perspective since it means we have nothing to watch except increasingly stale hot takes since they don't have fuel for anything really fun.
Right here. Coinbase says they will remove content if their partners ask them to do so. They say that they can't afford to be kicked off these services. Twitter and Kiwi Farms and everyone has this exact same problem.
You're bringing up unrelated content.
Coinbase's free speech stance is irrelevant to industry blackballing employees because of their work history.
When Facebook was in hotwater, noone took it out on facebook employees.
I've been an interviewer at numerous companies and even wrote the latest interview process at my previous company. I can say with confidence, there is no system in place to blackball employees except in special circumstances (ie candidate sued employer in high profile case). At the end of the day tech companies are forced to be exceedingly practical. They cannot afford to not hire qualified engineers.
