Slight off topic, but related to Rumble.
Rumble seems to be the alt-tech site to go for.
I recently uploaded a half an hour long video to youtube that was a music video set to something I'd composed. I spent like a week autistically making everything fit to the music. When I upload it, youtube managed to remove some clips - but here's the weird thing. There are sections where there is more than one video mixed in with another, at different levels of opacity. They managed to remove some of the clips, but not the others, leaving the other ones underneath. I have NO idea how they did that, but I'm fucking pissed! I spent all week making sure every.single.second was perfect, sometimes having to go through another 3 hour render just for 15 seconds worth of changes. And youtube doesn't even just block sections, but FUCKS WITH MY EDITING SO IT LOOKS DIFFERENT! Technologically, it's impressive, but in reality it makes me mad, so so mad. There's about 3 sections with two minutes total that have been ruined because sections don't make sense without the other stuff under it.
NO notifications about why this happened, NO notification that it even HAD happened, they just fucked about two days worth of editing work and said nothing.
I've now made a Rumble account because fuck that. I'm uploading the video to there and seeing if they will show the version I actually want. If they do, I'm probably going to switch to there full time.
