Just going to point out that of the people I've talked to under condition of anonymity regarding Wu, almost all of them are fucking terrified of what she's willing to do to someone who crosses her. Even remotely. Without getting into details, one of them was afraid of even being tangentially mentioned in connection with facts revealed about Wu, and when someone elicits that much fear, you know there's a fucking reason for it. And I knew that much back in 2015 when I was approached over it.
To hear several mention it, Wu is willing to go to extravagant lengths to have those that are connected to areas she has influence permanently dealt with. Several people who pointed out when she was dishonest or when she was sensationalizing were essentially either fed to Wu's Twitter hatemob or deplatformed heavily thereafter.
She has one hell of a reputation. According to Wu's former employees (also speaking under condition of anonymity), Wu is pretty resoundingly hated by people actually in the industry - and locally - but there's no glory in giving someone like that the metaphoric punch in the throat she deserves, nor is it really worth risking one's livelihood when Wu will cheerfully contact employers (she's done it openly on Twitter), so most just seek to avoid her in the first place.
