Two months into his ordeal, his heart stopped, though doctors were able to revive him."

At this point it’s not a matter of who handles things better in the moment, but who is set up for a better recovery in the aftermath of the inevitable, and I think in that respect Trump has done his job.

That picture is commonly passed around in relation to the story, but IIRC, it doesn’t actually match up with the descriptions of his injuries (for example, the uncropped image shows that the feet are missing, whereas Ouchi’s feet were never amputated). Also, actual pictures of him show a relatively clean and professional hospital room rather than the horrorshow nightmare in that picture.
