Make that fiddy years ago for me. There was no clout, there was just rage against the machine and the machinations of the Vietnam War. I went to a lot of Yuppie protests. I smoked a lot of "Peace, brother!" dope. We didn't have social media to egg us on. It was all word of mouth because something in Denmark really fucking stunk, and it wasn't the cheese. We united to stand against the man and we did and brought the Vietnam meat grinder to a close.

Did you though? What makes you think a horde of hippies achieved anything? What makes you think word of mouth got everyone out? What makes you think they listened? Sadly I've cone to the realization that a ground up moment never achieves anything unless it's getting pushed and moved from on top. So you were probably dancing to the tune of 70s democrats who wanted Vietnam to become a disaster and why the media was constantly reporting it as an absolute disaster when it really wasn't that bad. It's when the whole "oh no soldiers died in a war!" News cycle started and suddenly 10-15 dead in an operation which wouñd have been a resounding success in any other time in history is suddenly an unacceptable loss (though only when the bad party is in power, those that died in tje Afganistan retreat can go fuck themselves)

Bringing back my point, the most blackpilling thing ever for me was the french yellow jacket movement. Every weekend for a year constant protests against Macron due to some retarded green policy that fucked with gas. They achieved fucking nothing even though there was word of mouth and they had a good volume of people. Fucking nothing in the media fucking nothing in the political sphere. Fucking nothing achieved. Then chinkipox hit and dead movement.

Look at the Leafs and their truckers for a more recent example.

Don't forget we've got "TRUST DA SEY_ANCE!" "experts" talking about how there isn't radiation and fallout from nuclear weapons now.

This thread has so far been dedicated to how the razor thin margins of the primaries could've flipped for Republicans if only Libertarians came to your aid, yet they're simultaneously the scum of the Earth. But in the US the only realistic way is within the Republican party which means going in through the primaries. Once you achieve that, you won't get a fucking dime from the gop but just having the R will give you a shit ton more reach. If a Libertarian is at the ballot after the primaries, it's already too late and odds they will do more harm than good.

DeSantis seems willing enough to push back on more of the stuff than Trump ever was, and is clever enough not to sperg out on Twitter nonstop about stupid shit like how many votes each person got. I like Trump's platforms regarding trade and border security, but he is just a fucking black hole of drama which quagmires him. DeSantis gives off the appearance on the surface that he will operate on almost all of Trump's platforms without the insane drag effect of being Cheetoh Hitler. Reagan was just a far more polished version of Barry Goldwater and one could argue DeSantis is just a more polished and refined Trump.

Well, you can also punish them for it. The reason lefties got away with so many variation of fraud in 2020 is it turns out the laws don't really dole out any consequences. If you can find the person who organized the fraud, sure, that person gets in trouble, but on a case by case basis, it's hard to prove. But none of these laws say that sacks of votes with no chain of custody don't get counted. They don't specify conditions for denial of certification, or kicking the vote to the legislature, or requiring a do-over, etc. The candidate still gets all the illegitimate votes.

Popular protest has always been a fake concept. Power elites organize or allow protests to get what they want, either against the actual popular majority, or against a rival faction of power elites. It has the salutary effect of making the people who participated in the protest think that the power elite listened to them, but as we have seen over and over again, protests without elite patronage - Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party, the Yellow Vests, Canadian Truckers, Jan 6 - at best accomplish nothing, and at worst are used by the elites as an excuse to consolidate power and crush protestors.

Re: lolberts, as much as I can't stand Nick Gillespie, he made a good point years ago - nobody is entitled to your vote. If a Republican candidate can't convince people to not vote for some retarded Libertarian, that's his fault, not the voters'. The Democrats occasionally get Green Party candidates tossed from the slate, but you know what they primarily do? Actually listen to the voters, and incorporate enough of the Green agenda into their own platform and actually enact it to keep people voting Democrat.

The real issue is ballot harvesting. Dems have people literally go to your door and get your ballot ready. Barring that they call you up directly and send you text messages to get your ballots for them. Republicans dont. So they will lose.

The Mexican Standoff situation between Maricopa and the surrounding counties. It was done a few times with Broward before it succeeded. If you force the cheating county to post numbers first and have a large lead you can break through. You need followup and Desantis cleaning it up is what ended it, but it started with these standoffs. It happened (less publicly) in Ohio as well.
