I thought similar, but the only reasons he would do it that I could see are a) to get an iffy "dunk" on us by saying "lol I just made that up and KF ran with it, epicly pranked" when all it does is hurt the credibility of someone who helped him, or b) to purposefully hurt Ben Collins's integrity after some behind-the-scenes scuffle happened. I find Option A unlikely and counter to Luke's interests (if that really was his game plan), and I find Option B perfectly acceptable to pick up and run with.

Does anyone know how twitch "automatic payments" work? He could have read the name that is attached to the credit card or payment processor that would be Mr. Collins's real name.

Okay, I looked it up. It was a payment to a porn producer named Justin Berry. Seems to have been a fairly big deal, although I'm not entirely sure how much of that is that it's a violation of journalistic ethics and how much is that it's salacious.

I don't think the automatic payment was one on Twitch, Luke just read it out from another monitor while he was live.
