What Biden is doing to America at this point amounts to a humiliation ritual and he has two more years to do more damage. Don’t look for a divided Congress to reign him in. Biden has already smilingly stated that he will change nothing. We can expect more of the same.

Trump made a remark about how the years fly by fast, but two more years of Biden and his Marxists might be too much to ask.

Anyway, it’s official. Donald Trump is running again—and that’s great, but he has no chance of winning unless the election process is fixed. Mail-in ballots must be reigned in drastically. This is something few people in the MAGA set want to admit: most of the MAGA candidates are just awful. Kari Lake likes bashing the media but does she have any kind of skill set to govern Arizona? Of course not, so she’ll just bring on a bunch of AZ GOP people and you get another Doug Ducey term effectively. That’s what happened with Trump where he had to bring on swamp creatures nobody liked such as John Bolton. Having no experience but claiming you’ll tell it like is does not cut it with runaway inflation, record high immigration, severe water shortages in Arizona, etc. I’m focusing on Lake just as an example but she can be swapped out for the vast majority of MAGA candidates.

In terms of guns, red flag laws have effectively neutralized that, something that conservatives have almost completely ignored. It doesn’t get reported on but there are numerous Ruby Ridge-tier scandals going on each year but don’t get reported on much. It shows just how fragile things are. I’m not a doomer, I just don’t think MAGA is a solution, it’s just another setback. What I’m hoping for is that smarter people implement the upsides of national populism without retards like Kari Lake. I think it will happen eventually.

OK. Follow up question then. What candidates have a hope in hell of being this smart populism? Where are they? Who will give them visibility? How are they spreading their message to the normiesphere? And most important of all, how can you be sure this hipothetical smart populist isn't a competent grifter/controlled opposition like my gut is telling me Desantis is.

Trump may not be the ideal populist but by fucking god he's the only one with a hope in hell to get into a mildly relevant possition again and he also opens the doors to others to come behind him and cut in line through the standard asskissing cycle your bog standard GOP polititian has to go through. You will never get president Rand Paul and it's a fucking miracle we got Trump. And more than that, they learned a lot from how Trump just pushed his way into the presidency, so it's a lot more unlikely another crazy sonofabitch will be able to achieve such a gambit.
